I am so fortunate to have found St. Joseph's in Odenton. Of all my church homes across the country, St. Joseph's is at the top of my list. Prior to attending my first mass there, I joined the facebook group and had some questions, which were quickly and warmly answered. When I attended the first time, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I've been a regular parishioner now for almost a year, and I can truly say that I look forward to mass every Sunday. I've made many new friends in the parish, and it's so nice to not feel like an outsider like I have felt in a few other parishes. Father Jim is a really nice, down-to-earth priest, and he seems to take an interest in all the parishioners. If you are looking for a church home in the area, I would definitely recommend St. Joseph Catholic Church.

They follow a classical curriculum, which essentially translates to an education that aligns with a child's natural development. The fruit of this form of education has been wonderful to witness as a parent. What really has been the "clincher" for my husband and I is the way they handle discipline. Holy cow! We just attended a 4 year old birthday party here and it was incredible. Everything is…read moreover the top decorated like a jungle or rain forest. They have tons of cool animals, mostly reptiles and sea animals but also some birds and an armadillo. All the employees seemed super passionate about their job, they were great with the kids, and they facilitated the party well. There was plenty of space for the kids and their families and I'd say the adults were as engaged in the activities as the kids. There was free time for the kids to look at all the exhibits, the charismatic host brought out a lizard, an armadillo, a boa, and a cayman to teach us about and let the kids touch. There was time for pizza and a dinosaur egg hunt. Everything was clean and they did a great job sanitizing between animals and doing hand washes before food.
