I was a walk in here and got a small tattoo. I have lots and lots of tattoos. And I've never had a problem with one until now. It bled horribly and now has what seems to be permanent bruising marks on it. Picture attached is after a month has gone by. It continues to hurt me off and on, but doesn't seem to be infected. There is a piece in the arm that the color blew out of and has a scar. So I would proceed with caution when going to this studio. Make sure you know the artist that you're going to see because by the looks of it they have some very talented artists there but just didn't happen to be the one that I got. read more

My wife got her first tattoo by Jesse, it couldn't have went better. Jesse is awesome, he is a great artist & really has a great touch with the tattoo gun. I also got a tattoo from Jesses, definitely not my first, but probably the best experience getting tattooed! We live in Louisiana & I am not kidding when I say I will drive for 9 hours to have Jesse do my future tattoos! Just for reference I have probably 70 hours of tattoos before Jesse. read more

I would like to thank Matt for doing an awesome job on my infinity tattoo!! I'm from Philadelphia PA and the team made me feel comfortable and welcomed!! I felt safe due to protocols put in place for Covid19! Everyone had a mask on and there was a limit to how many customers could sit in the waiting area. Lastly, the infinity tattoo I received memorialize my late nephew Marquis who was killed in an automobile accident at the age of 28 in 2018. This tattoo means the world to me and it was done in excellence!! Thanks again Matt and the entire team at Oddity. read more

This place is by far one of the best in Sarasota. I had the pleasure of having Ambo drawing up my tattoo and tattooing my work of art on my shoulder. This tattoo was in honor of my grandfather and he nailed the whole thing. I came to him with my idea and he turned into a beautiful work of art, and a memory of my grandfather I will never forget. I will have this beautiful memory forever. Thank you for making this tattoo into something meaningful and beautiful.. Ambo is very talented and I would recommend him to everyone. Really one of the best experiences I've had with a tattoo artist. He educated me on a few concerns he had about my tattoo which gave me the opportunity to really think about what I wanted. The process was seamless and honestly really fun. Thank you guys! I'll be back :) read more

This place is great! They always do an amazing job. I currently live in CA and I fly back to FL whenever I want to get tattoos. The shop is really clean and everyone is super helpful. Some say it's pricey, I say it's worth it. Travis is incredible! Book your appointment far in advance though, he's usually always booked. Matt Helmer is my go to guy. He is a really talented artist, especially if your looking for something original and you're a fan of horror tattoos. Matt is your guy! read more

I recently got tattooed by Jesse Benson at Oddity, and I am pleased as punch about the entire experience. From consult to booking to tattooing, he's proven himself to be not just a gifted artist, but also a total professional. I came in with what I thought was a silly idea, and he transformed it into a literal work of art. I'm now fully healed after an insanely easy healing period (thanks to SaniDerm) and couldn't be happier about the entire experience. Thanks, Jesse! No regerts! read more

Just got my third tattoo at this location. The last three times I have come down from Ohio, I made it a point to visit. I am not been disappointed in any of my three tattoos. Two different artists, but always excellent results. read more

I contacted Oddity through Facebook message. I was able to easily submit a picture of the tattoo I wanted and had a staff member match me with an artist. Once I secured the appointment, I put down $50 to hold it, which is standard for most places. The $50 is taken off your end rate upon completion of the tattoo. Matt Norris was extremely knowledgeable and had years of experience. Out of five tattoos, this one hurt the least. At times I didn't even feel it. I have artists really push hard but Matt had a light touch and did a beautiful job! My tattoo turned out better than I expected. I will go back to Oddity to see Matt for my next tattoo! read more

My two friends and I went to z-edge originally and after waiting an hour for help we decided to check out this place. We arrived 30 minutes before closing time and we welcomed warmly. April dykes the piercer gave us a great price and stayed an hour after closing time to carefully and safely complete our cartilage piercings. She spent so much time teaching us and helping us figure out small details. If you want an educated, safe, friendly, super cool, knowledgeable piercer you need to go here! Our piercings are healing up nicely and we love them. read more

Would recommend Oddity Tattoo on Main to anyone thinking of getting a tattoo. The staff is extremely helpful, professional, and talented. Came into town for a wedding with my boyfriend and we both wanted to get tattoos. Matt was our artist and since it was my first tattoo I was asking lots of questions but he was super helpful and patient. Also one of the other artists gave his opinion too which was helpful as well. Clean, professional studio. My tattoos were done by Nate Greco. I had the images I wanted, and he did a beautiful rendition of them. Nate's a great artist, and he is meticulous in his line work. He advised on size and location. I'm 65 years old, and even with the young artists and clients, I always felt welcome. I am very happy with my tattoos, with Nate's talent and skill, and with the shop. I'm getting a ton of compliments on his work. I highly recommend Oddity! read more

April messed up the piercing and had i to be pierced twice, way too overpriced for something that she messed up the first time. The jewelry was also bad quality and she told me the wrong healing time. I would not recommend anyone to go here if you want a good quality piercing. read more

Got my first tattoo here and it was an amazing experience. I had a full day session and my artist, Ambo Hendon, explained everything - I knew what to expect and the after care process was laid out well. The studio is clean and comfortable. I went in to get my ears pierced since it's been years since I've worn earrings and the holes had closed up. April was able to re-open the holes and add some beautiful jewelry for me. Clean, friendly, professional business. Never been more impressed with a studio before! Went to BeeRidge location for a piercing with April and it was very comfortable and professional. Oddity Tattoo - Done by Dave at BeeRidge location! I love it - Tattoo Near Me - Sarasota, Florida

Typh at the bee ridge location made a special appointment for us on Christmas Day to accommodate our schedule. The store was opened just for us!! As in other reviews, the store was immaculate, great music and Typh is one hell of an artist. Attention to detail, exceptional design and totally a pleasure to spend time with. We would highly recommend Typh and oddity. We would post photos of the tattoos, but since they are original art designed and done by Typh, we will only do so with her permission. read more

Although I have not gotten a tattoo here, I requested an appointment through the Yelp app (that I regretted my had to cancel) and they were quick and helpful! We figured out a time at 8pm for the NEXT DAY at 1pm. It was awesome, quick, and friendly service. I recommend! read more

7-12-2018 Madeline and I had been in contact off and on for three weeks or so. Yesterday we nailed down a time to schedule Stephanie for her repeat faith piercing. We had never been here before, and there wasn't a error with the previous one we just could t tighten it and it came loose and out in her sleep. April was fantastic, Stephanie is still in a little pain a few hours later but she will be fine!! Thanks again and hopefully this works out and we understand this may not solve the issue!! read more

Best experiences all three times. Tiph and Alex -- both incredibly talented artists! All the artists there are super friendly, helpful and calm. I really, really enjoyed the experience I had being tattooed here. I'd never been tattooed before, and my tattoo isn't that small; about the size of a man's palm. Matt Helmer was incredibly communicative with me before my appointment because I live in another state, and was visiting; he sent me several sketches and then we reviewed a finalized one before we began. This was my first tattoo, so I have no comparison, but it was really a pleasant experience overall; everyone was very friendly and answered my questions, and despite the post-tattoo high (endorphins, let me tell you) they made sure I had what I needed going forward to care for it. The tattoo is now about six weeks old, and it's beautiful; fully healed and absolutely gorgeous. I will absolutely be going back the next time I'm in Florida. read more

Super professional on the phone, in person, during consultation and during the tattoo. Ambo gave me a beautiful piece and was kind and helpful. These guys are also pretty good about attending to walk-ins as well. Between booking my consultation and getting my actual tattoo, I saw a few guys utilize the breaks they gave their clients to make sure walk-in people got their questions answer. Super clean studio, fab artwork and reasonable &a honest prices. read more

Have always heard good things about the artists and shop, unfortunately our experience was not so good. Me and a friend waited almost 2 hrs past our scheduled appointment to get in the chair for a simple tattoo that didn't take more than 30 minutes. Once mine was done it took our artist another 45 minutes to get my friend set up and then advised her to put Vasoline on it once she got home. Now I'm no expert but I do believe that Vasoline has too much oil in it and absorbs the fresh ink which leaves a very faded tattoo. First and last time going to Odditty, should of known better. read more

A class place! CLEAN!! Just as it should be. Scott Olive did my art and you couldn't ask for a better guy to deal with. Very accommodating to those of us who are detail oriented and can be a pain in the ass. Looking forward to Scott finishing my bottom sleeve. He's on the west coast of FL while I'm on the east coast and he is worth the hours of driving to get the quality I'm after. Scott, you ROCK! The shop is more like a gallery than a tattoo place. Feels upscale (and the artwork shows it), but are priced fair. This is a kind of place you'd take somebody who isn't into ink just to see the approving look on their face when they leave. All custom work here. No scratch artists slinging ink here. Go on their website to see their original artwork, very cool. Better yet, any time you're near Sarasota, take some time to visit, you'll be pleased. Remember, that ink you're about to put on your skin is permanent, you owe it to yourself to visit a shop like Oddity Tattoo. Yeah, I'm very pleased with art I received from Scott at this fine tattoo shop!!! Strongly suggest making an appointment. They do take walk-ins, but remember, these are artists and depending on what you want understandably they're not just sitting around waiting for YOU to walk in. Always respect your artist and their time, you'll be glad you did. read more
