Posting the hours you take new people would be helpful so someone doesn't waste their time coming. They stop taking new people 3 hours before ( 2pm) they close which is at 5pm. I personally feel like 3pm makes more sense if the average time for new donors is 2hrs. read more

First let me start by saying. If you're going to donate plasma it what 30 to 60 bucks you'll make in less than 2hours. If you're new maybe double the time. So keep in mind you will have to wait in line. If you're on a time limit , like it's 2:30 and your kids get out at 3:00 don't go. Because again it can take up to 2 hours. Plan your trip on a day you have time. Okay now on to the staff. After two incidents, one of which was not returning plasma, but just strictly drawing blood, I gave them a third shot and upon completing donation, had the needle ripped out of my arm with very little compassion as to how it would feel on my arm I would take a picture, but I cannot remove the bandage because it is still bleeding and it's been almost an hour read more

This place has done a complete 180 since I started going there almost 2 years ago now. They are very polite and and efficient and know their clients on a first name basis. The have new soap dispensers hand dryers in the bathroom and in the event that you forgot your mask, they will provide you with one. I strongly recommend using the Octapharma app to fill out your questionnaire before arriving so you can go right to screening. A safe, clean, and family oriented environment. read more

They have no management, and the staff tries to get you hooked into their work drama. So unprofessional. You have to ask to use the bathroom. The inexperienced people that work here is sickening. They should be closed down, dealing with blood born pathogens is a serious thing, they don't follow. They are changing things and shaping up but their bringing in rude ass people. Please tell me why there is more admin staff than phlebotomist!? And the admin staff doesn't help... Octapharma CONSTANTLY advertises to donate but when you go... good luck getting into a chair! I'd be curious how many people register for an appointment and how many are actually seem as I can't tell you how many people walk out after waiting over a hour; I know I've done it! Please, for the love of all things HOLY, use your advertising budget for staff! This has to be the WORST run facility in this chain... or maybe not- and if not, I can't imagine... the phlebotomist are all pretty nice, if you can even get to them. The phlebotomists there definitely need more training. They miss every time. The tech today was struggling to find my vein when I felt an unusually severe sharp pain. I let her know about the pain, and she continued to dig around. I let her know again that something was really hurting. She sarcastically said, "well since I've hurt you SOOO badly, I guess we'll just end your session." She informed me I would only make 5 dollars for the day. We couldn't use the other arm because it was still extremely bruised from a previous session. I'm a former phlebotomist myself. I find the physical technique as well as the bedside manner at this center to be unacceptable. The donating experience shouldn't result with a donor in tears. read more

Octapharma plasma on warden road sucks. They have 5 kiosk machines, none of them work. 3 outta 5 of those have been broken down for a month, the other two are crap. I tried this morning and ended up walking out. And there's NEVER anybody working the front desk. If you need something your gonna stand there and look stupid forever. I have no problems on the floor where you donate but the lobby and front desk SUCK. FIX YOUR FREAKING KIOSK MACHINES!!!! not everybody can do the octaap, which doesn't work on my phone. read more

I have been donating for 3 years. I've seen good sticker come and go. Just like donors. They do not pay that good. Now they want to take more plasma from you an not pay you. I was a "new" donor. My 2nd time going. I was waiting for over an hour just to get a bed then had to sit there at least another 45 minutes just to get set up. They infiltrated 1 arm and told me in order to get paid they had to stick the other arm, which after 15 or so minutes that vein infiltrated. As a new donor I was supposed to get 100,I got $35 because it was not a full draw. Is what was told to me the day AFTER, because I called to question my payment. THAT WAS NOT EXPLAINED TO ME. IF IT WAS I WOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED THEM TO STICK ME A 2ND TIME. Huge bruises on both arms not to get paid what I was told I would. Q is amazing but the others that work the floor are lazy and do not back up the few employees they have that actually work!!. I will NOT be returning. read more

Been coming since Oct 2016. Seemingly High staff turnover rate. Overall, I like to go here and donate knowing I'm helping others! Most of Staff is nice and pleasant; greeting you with a smile. Most patrons are nice; though, some are loud-mouth, cussing, and can be downright crude to the staff. The bonuses are good. If you donate 8 times during a month, you can earn close to $400 per month; though, actual amounts are based on your weight. Initial donation can take up to 4-5 hrs, due to physical exam. Afterwards, regular donatations can vary between 1 hr-30 min and 3 hrs based on time of day. read more

From day one there was always a problem with the kiosk functionality. Probably cheap software. First visit, the physical, screening process, and the donation went fine. People were very nice. Then the following visits ( 6 of them ) were problematic. I could not pass screening for various reasons including blood pressure too low, blood pressure too high, pulse rate too low or too high, dehydration, problems with protein or iron. Again, probably cheap software. Also, nobody could move fast enough for the male nurse that does the screenings. RUDE DUDE ! I now donate with a different outfit and without ANY screening problems. Maple Heights Ohio location: I will never go back after the first time going! The lady blew and collapsed my vein, meaning she poked a needle all the way through where it harden up and now I have a huge bruise. I hope my vein will go back to normal one day because right now it's flat and hard. Complete incompetence! If you value your veins I wouldn't go there. Earlier in my visit I questioned a lady after she allowed A black young man to go get the physical examination only after reading the booklet. Because I had to read the booklet and watch a half hour video before I got my examination and I'm white. When I questioned the lady she said because he read the booklet he did not have to watch the video. I explain to her I also read the booklet. She did not like me questioning her and my obvious annoyance at me having to do extra than this other person. She asked my name again after this interaction. I thought that was odd part of me thinks that she told whoever jabbed me and busted my vein to do it on purpose because she didn't like me. Beware of upsetting anybody in that place because they could hurt you! I will never be back! read more

I've been donating at this Octapharma location for almost 5 years. Each donation is a pleasant experience with reasonable wait times.

Not going to lie, they have problems keeping donors. This place is always understaffed, turnover rate is horrible, I always have to come back in as I blleed out. I do not ever at thier competition. I've been donating at the Sioux City location for a couple years now and with coupons w/extra cash bonuses between the two local donating centers is always great for us donating. I'm told I need to choose or not come-back to Octa. It's a wonder why they are slow I get it now they treat donorsxlikex they are doing us a favor. Well Chris how's that going for you? Unless you put out a great bonus you are slow. Have you ever tried to get in at Bio-life there is always a line you have to wait in. Think about that next time you are hurting for people to come in and donate. I would think as any business is good business and never turn your customers away. I can shop at both Hyvee and Walmart and they still let me in the door anytimevI want. Too bad you have had some great staff over the years. Better management more donations! read more

I was a rejected donor because I've had prior seizures/been on seizure medications. My husband still donates once or twice a week. I doubt this place would have as many donors if located in Naperville or Wilmette. Location, location, location - and boy have they picked it out! If you need some extra cash, and you have some extra time, this is a great way to do it. Yes, some of the employees are rude and unprofessional, but they're dealing with some sketchy people. There have also been some quality employees here. Essentially, it's free money (I believe you can earn $15-30/donation depending on your weight) and sucks a lot less than 3 hours folding sweaters at the Gap, now doesn't it? Be patient and bring a book while you wait. Or keep your ears open and enjoy the weirdos that come in here. read more

This place is pretty solid. I wanted to make money just as most people want to do, so I went over with a friend one day and started the process. As with most plasma places, your first visit will take a couple hours, but it really isn't that big of a deal. For your return visits I've never been there for over an hour between first walking in the door and then finishing. Their payment goes as follows: First Visit: $35 Second Visit: $40 After that it depends on your weight. If you're over 250lbs or something like that you receive $20 and then $28 respectively for your next visits. read more

I was referred to Octapharma .I went to Octapharma Plasma twice. My referral code didnt come to my email until the day after I donated the 1st day. On the 2nd time I went and gave the code the manager said he had to get with the GM because I shoulda have have a code. The lady at the desk(that worked there) told me it take long to receive the code. The person that referred me was paid AFTER he brought attention to the specific manager. I went for my 3rd donation and waS deferred for no apparent reason. They try to get out of paying out referral fees. read more

Where else are you going to earn $240+ per month for 3 hours of time each week? They have gotten a lot faster here - I get in and out usually in about 1.5 hours start to finish. Payments are better, too. I get $65/week for 2 donations so that makes it worth the time. The folks working there as of Nov 2013 are mostly good. A couple duds are gone but so are a couple sweethearts. They've made the donors clean up their language and I don't see really scary folks there anymore. Bring a warm jacket because they keep it COLD - that is really my only complaint. Doesn't need to be 32 degrees where you donate. But It is what it is - a way to make an extra $200+ each month. read more

Excellent group of workers very friendly and helpful. Was my first time today took me 4 hours because mine came out slow found out the key is to drink lots of water the day before you donate. Facility was clean was very cold in there so you may want to bring in a small blanket. You immediately get your visa prepaid card, after the nurse does your minor physical. I'm the last person to give a damn about wasting company time, but octapharma in Aurora takes it to a whole new level. They had at least 5 employees closing, wtf is so time consuming that NOT ONE EMPLOYEE couldn't take 2 minutes to get a needle in me... Screw this place. read more

This facility is very poorly run. It is dirty, they won't answer the phone, and they open and close whenever they want. The staff is not very nice to the donors. If there is an issue, the staff is cold and mean-hearted rather than accommodating. They would prefer to kick you out of the facility than to work through an issue with you. I started getting anxious about going there so I had to stop. Too bad for all the patients that would otherwise benefit from the plasma. I would recommend going to any other plasma donation center. I will never return to this one. There's one guy in particular who is really mean. I would cringe whenever I would get him. read more

There are a few hiccups they need to work out but overall this center is very efficient. The phlebotomists and women who perform the physicals are kind and professional. Please research the process before you decide to donate to avoid wasting your time. You will be turned away if you did not eat a substantial meal before you arrive. Also bring a stress ball to help pump your fist to make process go quickly. Plan on 2-3 hours for your first visit. Lastly, the staff in donation room behave a bit too lax and low key. While its perfectly feasible to fraternize with donors, the interaction should remain authoritative yet kind. read more

I like most employees at my location. Most work their asses off and are busy a majority of the time. But, not enough employees to process donors. Waiting times are atrocious. What's the point in having an express pass if you're been here almost an hour, still waiting to get stuck. I feel for the employees. And all are currently congregating Over one patient talking about gossip and a girl from work who complained about octapharma being a hostile work environment. I feel like this is very unprofessional. And something needs to be changed. In my option there are 2 or 3 good stickers here. The facility is very clean, the staff mostly professional except for a few individuals who talk loud and cackle with each other as if they were at a bar, and a couple of others that barely open their mouths to speak. My major complaint is with Octapharma generally: they've teamed up with this Wirecard racket whose purpose seems to be to get every dime you earn from donating BACK by attaching some ridiculous fee to almost every means of getting at one's money. Machines constantly shutdown, only three of the workers actually work, wig lady barks orders and just stands around while also giving an attitude to donors. I finished donating after about an hour and waited an additional 45 minutes to get disconnected. Not to try to be rude but this place isn't really much worth a one star rating.... I've been coming since September and had nothing but problems. I've been donating at BPL on Sheldon for 2 years , moved to this side of town and have had nothing but complications. The staff is very unprofessional and steadily goofing around. Don't take people's time in consideration. No matter how packed it is at the time they do not speed up the time or show that they are in any type of rush. Their always poking people and myself wrong leaving big nasty bruises on my arms and others. Since September I've only been able to donate 4 times because of their mistakes.
