Was having spasms in my traps by the third day and, as soon as i landed, booked an appointment in my Lyft home. I got the 60 min "back" (body) and 30 min foot massage combo for $80. People can be weird about feet and rightfully so. But you start on the chair with feet in the water so no worries about smells, if that's your concern. Even the foot massage starts with a face and head massage, then feet and legs. So relaxing. I have to conscious deep breathing exercises to stay awake; otherwise, I fall asleep. The back portion of the combo massage is a traditional body massage. Everything but underwear off, you are beneath a sheet. While I'm normally a deep tissue girl (only because most places and even fancy ones just rub oil on you and call it Swedish), I would say he's a wonderful combination of Swedish and shiatsu in style, soothing yet with focused pressure where needed. Ben works on your knots with both hands and elbows with the precision of a chiropractor. He knows where their edges are. You hear them go clicketty-click, and feel your neck release - I mean that in the most literal sense as you feel spaces between vertebrae open up. Yet he doesn't do it with overt pressure. Most importantly, he's so respectful and careful. I hate massage therapists who treat the body like it's a whole brisket to soften. Ben is the opposite of that. Oh, and if you don't like glutes massages, (you're missing out but) tell him that in advance. It's par for the course in Chinese massage shops. As soon as i laid down i told her what my main concerns were (shoulder and neck). she started off my neck and shoulders without oil or lotion which was very uncomfortable. she fid the kneading but also pinching technique. I go get a massage one a month, so i am very experienced on who is skilled and who is not. she did my neck and shoulders for about 10 without oil, then she started with the oil for the rest of my back. She started pinching again which was very uncomfortable. Then she proceed to use her elbow for the rest of the time. she even used her elbow right in the middle of my spine. she thought i had knots on my spine so she dugged her elbow harder on those so called knots which was my actual spine. She was all over the place with her "techniques" one min she was kneading on my shoulders then next few seconds would me elbow on my lower back. most massages i have gotten work their up to the area so that what i mean by all over the place. she also did my butt and calves with her elbow. if you dont know how an elbow feel on your calves then have someone try it on you. i was tense during the massage. she didnt even do my arms AT ALL. which given it it a full body massage i guess my arms are not included in my body. then she turns me over and she only massaged my head and a little bit on my neck and barely on my shoulders. no other body parts were massage after i flipped over on my back. usually they massage your arms and the front of your legs that included the front of your thigh. NOTHING. At the end of the massage, she had the nerves to tell me " your back is very hard. do you exercise? your back is like a man's back. i have a workout, im sweating" Over all i would not recommend or come back to this place. you get a better massage elsewhere for cheaper around the area. you would think that price being higher than other places you expect better experience.

After she left, the therapist repeatedly came to her car window trying to explain and apologize. She was scared, called the police, and waited in the business next door until I arrived.
