Unacceptable! Blood stains
Randall S.

Nasty...filthy....disgusting. Honestly I don't like to give bad reviews but this place earned it. Had to find a hotel to stay in for one night after attending a wedding and this place was where relatives were staying. This place hasn't had any renovations or upgrades in 20 years. The room we stayed In looks like there was a murder. Noticed blood stains on the box springs. There's no way housekeeping didn't notify the owner yet they still didn't remove it. I'm notifying the county health department.

Well, you can't trust vikings.com reviews, lesson #1. I feel like I'm a fugitive from the law here, at one of those motels you'd see on a crime show on TV. And this is the best in Santa Paula? Safe enough, but that's about it. Too late to switch hotels. I do not recommend anyone stay here. Ever. Oh, need to add this. the room is advertised as breakfast included. Breakfast was Sunny Delight, instant coffee, and some tiny muffins. That's it.

The table where I saw the cockroach

Would not recommend this place. My family and I had to book this hotel because the other hotels in this area were all booked. I did not look at the reviews before booking it and I wish I did. Customer service was alright. They don't give the WiFi password unless you ask for it. We got a two bed room, upon arrival it looked clean, the restroom had two rolls of toilet paper but they weren't new, one was almost gone. I was doing my makeup in one of the tables, I looked up and there was a HUGE cockroach walking on the table. I immediately removed all my things from the table and placed them on the bed. The window sill had some dead cockroaches.

The…read morephone reservation was especially pleasant--friendly, courteous, and the owner/manager answered my questions directly (a hospitality level I haven't experienced in years). Arrival was smooth. The half-circle drive off Mill Street is easy to enter and was open when we arrived. The only tip I'd add is once you get past the front area, head toward the rear parking lot for the best flow. Walking up to the front door is charming--Swiss/German country cottage style with historic character, dark wood tones, and shingle siding (with white end units). The lobby setup is warm and inviting, with great lighting and multiple seating areas where you can relax or have a conversation. Check-in was quick and friendly. The staff explained the room ventilation controls and the split cooling system (new technology). The room stayed very quiet and comfortable--our third-floor room cooled to about 65°F each night. The stairs to the third floor were exactly as expected--no elevator--and they felt well designed with consistent tread depth and height. The hallways also have fun movie posters from the 20-60s, which adds personality. We stayed in Room 301, and it was roomy (about 300 sq ft). The room had a chaise lounge with an ottoman, plus a desk and chair. The bathroom layout is a bit old-school, with the sink just outside the bathroom area inside the bedroom, but it worked fine. There's a small step up (around 1 1/2 inches), and the tub/shower and toilet were comfortable and clean. The shower had plenty of hot water. The bed was a highlight--pillow-top comfort with very soft sheets and comforters. The king pillows were large, soft, and easy to adjust (even though I usually prefer smaller ones, these were great). Overall, the room and property felt quiet. It seemed like most guests were in by around 9:00, and we had a peaceful, restful night's sleep. Also worth noting: there are four EV chargers in the rear parking lot for electric vehicle owners. The restaurant looked amazing and smelled great, though we didn't dine this trip--we're planning to next time we fly into Santa Paula Airport. Finally, Monica, the manager, was wonderful--an absolute pleasure to talk with and genuinely kind. And a special thank-you for the complimentary morning coffee and muffins. Highly recommend for anyone who wants comfort, charm, and quiet peace.

I highly recommend not using the charge point as they insanely charge $5 / hour. This hotel has a bunch of issues We had ants in and on our bed The windows are dirty There's no breakfast - Enzo's, the restaurant, has no cappuccino- as an Italien restaurant that is weird The TVs are super old The housekeeper changed our sheets mid stay cause of the ants and said she'll spray something - I asked that if it's smells to not spray. She said it's doesn't smell and sprayed and it smelled for the rest of our stay a lot. The walls are too thin so you hear your neighbors Other plumbing issues - hot water wasn't all going up to shower mode. Partner says the best part is the linens and towels being good quality. When I was booking it, it seemed possible to book two rooms but then only one was possible and it was very stressful to keep checking in to see if anything opened up - something's up with the booking system. At the end of the day - it's a cool and interesting hotel but not for the weak of heart or not stairs friendly.

Santa Paula Inn - air conditioner at floor -we couldn't even see the settings! We are seniors-bending down to read the small settings was very difficult.

Just a one night stay but we'll be back…read more We picked the Inn because they came up as dog friendly. So nice to see restaurants and hotels that actually care about people who have pets! Kudos. The Inn is an older building (as, indeed, most commercial buildings are in Santa Paula), but well maintained and comfortable. The rates were good and it's literally round the corner from the main street, so in easy walk of shops and restaurants (we ate at Rabalai's - great place). Also, if you're flying in, it's easily walkable from the airport. The hosts, whose names I didn't get, were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great stay. We'll be seeing you in October when we bring our plane back for its annual check.

The location is excellent -- close to Main Street and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly, and the property looks like it has been recently renovated and freshly painted. There are nice updates throughout, and the little garden patio is a pleasant place to sit. We booked a room with two queen‑size beds, but the room itself was quite small, and the bed we slept in was definitely not a queen. It felt like a standard double, which made it uncomfortable, especially with my husband being a larger man. The mattress itself was also extremely uncomfortable and left both of us with back pain. Once we settled in, we noticed several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The bathroom tile walls hadn't been cleaned -- my husband was able to scrape dirt off with his fingernail. The electrical outlets were so old, that they didn't hold the plugs anymore, the plugs kept falling out, mismatched, and in poor condition, which stood out even more against the fresh paint. The toilet had a standard bowl with an elongated seat that didn't fit properly, and the bolts were rusted. The ceiling fan wobbled violently because the blades were unbalanced, and it made a loud clicking sound whenever it was on. The continental breakfast was also disappointing. There were a few tiny muffins, almost‑empty orange juice, and a single slice of bread left. It didn't appear that anyone monitored or refreshed the breakfast area. Overall, while the staff was kind and the property has charm, the room quality and maintenance issues didn't match the price we paid through Hotels.com. With a few improvements, this could be a great little inn, but as it stands, it felt overpriced for the experience. I am giving it 3 stars, but it maybe should be 2 stars.

We got "Freddie" and had absolutely everything we needed and made our travels so much more fun and convenient. We stopped in places we didn't plan to stop before and was probably where we had the most fun. From Lake Havasu, to Grand Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes and ending our trip at Zion. We would look for campgrounds that had water hookups and pay a small fee of 30-50 the night, but it was worth it since we didn't have to unload or load up our cars - it was all in our van. I would recommend getting a small stove to make your food, but other than that everything was PERFECT. I had a great time and will 100% be recommending wade and his campervans to any of my friends who enjoy traveling and road trips just as much as I do. Looking forward to booking more trips with sunstorm vans and making more memories.
