You can spend so much time for not too much money with them. The other games were also relatively inexpensive; the skee-ball was only about $.50. The staff at the prize claim was also so helpful and helped us pool our tickets together from a bunch of different cards and physical tickets and even told us what we could get with our remaining 5-10 tickets. We ended up getting two stuffed animals for my almost 2-year-old niece and a mini-skateboard and a piece of candy

Tldr- Problematic games…read moreStaff that can't or won't help Expensive We stopped by here off season as it was one of a few arcades open. 3 people in our party bought $20 game cards. My daughter was playing the spinning wheel machine for kids. The most expensive prize is a small piece for 100 tickets between two bigger pieces for 4 tickets. It clearly landed on the 10p ticket part (through some miracle), but the machine registered it as 4. We pointed it out to a staff member who said "there's nothing I can do" and gave us a free spin. Of course she didn't winning the 100 tickets like she should have. In my mind he either should have given us 100 physical tickets or allowed her to play until she won 100. Another person was playing the coin pushing machines. The ticket dispenser kept jamming, to the point where they had to shut down the machine. This meant she lost a ton of her plays. It seems like the staff are trying to do their best with machines that are long past repairs. Instead of putting things out of order they allow them to stsy broken and wait for enough people to complain. Not a great way to run a business unless you're the owner making bank on janky arcade machines. I would advise going to other arcades on thr boardwalk or see if there's better ones nearby.

TC Studios hosted a paint night in the back room at the Black Flags Brewery in Columbia, MD. It was…read moresuch a cool venue, especially since we were in the back brewing room, which was full of the beer-making equipment and was a lot quieter than the noisy front part of the bar (they were popular!). Ali and Lindsay (unsure of spelling), along with DJ Jamie, were the best hosts. We were entertained and engaged the entire time and they provided us with everything we needed! All three of them were so fun and friendly, and I definitely want to be Ali's BFF because she's so charming! We submitted our pet pictures a week ahead of time when purchasing our tickets, and by the time we arrived to the event, our dog was sketched out on a blank canvas with numbers the corresponded with the paints on our palettes in front of our seats. It was easy to find our spots, and the process itself was pretty clear (especially since I've done paint nights before) but they answered all of our questions quickly and knowledgably! I loved the flexibility of following along with their step-by-step instructions OR going at our own pace (my ADHD does not make me a patient artist lol). Ali mentioned that it was Lindsay's first night emcee-ing for a group of us, and she did awesomely. The microphones were really helpful in making sure that everyone could hear, and they were constantly on the move to help with questions and suggestions on how to improve our pieces, along with encouragement and positive feedback. If you weren't happy with the paint colors supplied to you, you could ask for new colors (or refills of what you needed). The two hours flew by, and by the time we finished and were ready to leave, we had two beautiful paintings. Also, special shout out to DJ Jamie for the awesome music selection -- very often, he was able to coordinate the songs/lyrics with the instructions at the time AND the pet-theme of the night ("paint it black", "pink", "who let the dogs out", etc) which was hilarious and a very nice additional touch. I'm so glad they're a traveling troupe because I'm not in Ocean City nearly as much anymore as I was when I was younger, and they pair with so many local places to host events that I'm sure I'll be able to attend another paint night eventually!
