Dr. Blank did gum recession surgery on me about 5 years ago. I was so scared to have the procedure…read moredone because I had a friend who told me it was the most painful experience of her life. Apparently Dr. Blank works magic, because it really wasn't a painful procedure in the least. He did a wonderful job, and I would recommend him/his practice to anyone. I still have appointments on a yearly basis for them to check my gums, and the staff is amazing. The office is a bit small, but it is clean and efficient. As a side note, Dr. Blank is really a funny guy. He prides himself in being the self-proclaimed "best" at what he does. I won't disagree with him, he's pretty amazing!

Recently had a scaling and planing procedure done with Dr. Alan Levy. He not only has a wonderful…read morebedside manner (very kind, gentle, cheery and funny) but he has been an oral surgeon for 30 years and he knows his "stuff!" I was very afraid of the procedure (blood and gore and pain) and he assured me that there would be very little blood, that he would give me numbing shots for the pain and that the pain would be minimal after the procedure. The numbing shots did hurt a bit (when doesn't a shot hurt, right?) but as soon as I was all numb, he went to work and expertly did his procedure. Afterward when I was getting ready to leave, I noticed a bigger bit of blood and mentioned it and he put me right back in the operative chair and looked into my mouth to discover a few blood clots that he suctioned out. Bleeding practically non-existent after that. Pain level was low enough that I didn't need to even take Tylenol. His office is efficient, clean and a nice place to be if one has to visit an oral surgeon. I recommend him unreservedly.

Do yourself a favor and find a good dental group. I have been a patient of this office for almost 20 years. Suddenly, before my vacation, my front tooth broke, and I was afraid to change the office in such a situation, despite the fact that the owner changed. What a mistake! Dr. Gerda works very roughly, as if you are a training dummy, and not a living person. She shifts most of the work to her assistants (for a minute! you pay for the doctor). Everything was rude and humiliating. I tried to say that I don't need anesthesia because I'm not very sensitive, but it's very difficult and painful to endure the effects of anesthesia. Dr. Gerda gave me anesthesia in a rough form, smeared the whole mouth with painkillers, without asking my permission. The quality of the crown also raises big questions for me. My biting functions have been disrupted. I try to tell her, and she adjusts the crown as she sees fit. In a rude way, she silenced me. To be honest, this is the first time I have come across such a disrespectful attitude towards a client. But they charge money for such services instantly.

I wish we were not limited to 5 stars because this practice is exceptional from the office…read morereceptionist, to the hygentist, to the dentist and all the supporting help. During COVID you are asked to call from the parking lot. Upon entering a long hallwaty, but before you get to the office, you will be asked to hand sanitize. You then enter a door to a very pleasant, relaxing waiting room where chairs are social distant. Don't get too comfortable because they are definitely on time. The office itself has several private rooms where your exam and cleaning will take place. I like this. Cleaning is such a personal thing and many of us still have areas where our dental hygene needs improvement. I preferred to be told in private. I learned that when you floss, it is not good enough to simply go up and down, but that you should go around the top of each tooth so that ALL the yuck is removed. I had a very thorough cleaning by Debbie who explained everything. She cared about my comfort but I was fine. There were a couple areas of concern but this practice takes a wait and see attitude with problems that might resolve themselves on their own with a little help from me. Everything they did and said made sense. It is hard to find a new dentist even when you are increasingly dissatisfied with your old one. I am so glad that we are now patients of Dental Associates and Dr. Parsons. I HIGHLY recommend them even if you have to drive a little bit to get to them. Now that I have been there, I would drive alot to see them.
