I ordered the grilled white fish with lemon and egg fried rice with yum yum sauce on the side, plus shrimp tempura sushi to go. The yum yum sauce tasted like a mix of ketchup and mayonnaise, but when I mixed it with the fried rice, it was really, really good. The fish itself was tasty but needed more salt I ended up adding salt and squeezing lime over it to bring out the flavor. It seemed like it was only seasoned during marination and not finished properly. The salad wasn't anything special, but overall, for how quickly the food came out, the quality was impressive. Portions are generous, and the pricing matches what you get. We came around midnight and left close to 1 AM when they were closing. The place looked packed, but service was still quick and efficient. Our server was okay--nothing standout, but no issues either. Overall, I'd come back. Fast service, solid food, and a good late-night option.

Honestly felt like a way to make up for the lack of actual crab in it. The sushi itself was disappointing, overall just subpar. I ordered the bento box and wasn't expecting fried salmon (I've never seen it prepared that way), and my food came out last after everyone else had already finished eating. Everything was bland and lacked flavor. This place clearly can't handle parties larger than four otherwise you will be cramped in a corner, and you can only split checks into a maximum of three payments, which no one told us upfront. To top it off, the server still had the audacity to ask for a tip. I had no problem telling him no and stated that we were unsatisfied with both the service and the meal. Coming from someone who works in hospitality, if I had been dining alone and not with eight other people, I would have walked out. That's how bad the experience was. Whether you dine in or have Togo box, they will be filled your box with so much meat. In California, they'll charge extra for the meat and amount of food they give you is less. They do have parking infront of the restaurant and across the street. Customer service at Happy Garden is top of the notch. Over the years, the owner has renovated the restaurant. He's hardworking and provides the best service and food for customers. For those that don't know the owner, he migrated from China to Venezuela. And finally settled in Puerto Rico. He learnt Spanish to learn and how to meet the customers demand. Although he can retire anytime, he wants to serve the community. During COVID, they have placed extra precautions.
