Rented 3BR 2BA for a week in June off of Airbnb. Very nice condo and would recommend booking…read morethrough Airbnb. The problem we had during our stay is my beach umbrella and beach chair were stolen from right outside the door to the condo. I had put the items out there so I would not get the inside of the condo sandy. I had done this for three nights prior with no problems. Monday morning they were gone. We asked the office, but they were no help. The lady in the office said you're not allowed to store items outside the unit. (No signs posted prohibiting it). So there is either a thief on the property which deems it unsafe or the maintenance/lady in the office took it when all she had to do was knock on the door and tell us it wasn't allowed. There are only 3 units on our floor so it seems odd that a thief would get on and off the elevator looking for stuff to steal. I suspect the office knows because our unit was next to the office and the office was not open on the weekend. A little kindness would have gone a long way In this situation.

I'm torn for the rating. On the one hand the view, location, and size of condos are great. My…read morefamily has been coming here for years and grandparents just bought a condo last year. The experience is usually always great. On the other hand, this year we had an issue with our condo. We had a booking for the week of 4th of July but the condo got sold and the new owners didn't want to rent it. No big deal, the association took care of it and found us another rental. The new condo was ok but needed some maintenance which they said they would take care of. The listing also said it could sleep 8. When we arrived, they had bought a new couch which didn't have a sleeper and never mentioned it. So now what slept 8 could only sleep 6 and we have a big family. The front office was not helpful and didn't do anything for the inconvenience. I understand that everything else was booked up because of the holiday but the front office was handling the reservation and did nothing for causing a problem for us. Other than that the location is great. It's just a quick walk across the street to the beach. There's also tennis courts that are very well maintained. The beach is pretty quiet except for holidays.

There are multiple indoor and outdoor pools, lazy rivers, a splash pad, and an awesome four-story waterslide. There are also plenty of other activities, including tennis, pickleball, putting greens, fitness facilities, and poolside food and drinks. Turquoise Place gives you the space and privacy of a beachfront condo with the amenities of a high-end resort. After two great stays, we would absolutely come back again!

That was a HUGE help!! No smoking signs everywhere, keypad entry front gate and gated pool and hot tub area. There was 9 in our party and our condo was the perfect size so nobody felt crowded. The only bad thing was being on the 6th floor and noticing that the guard rails on the balcony was made from pvc pipe and noticed a crack in it, so we made sure the kids didn't go lean on it. Over all we had a blast.

Beach Colony Resort consists of three high rise condominium buildings located right on the Gulf of…read moreMexico. We have stayed here on family trips with multiple condos on two different occasions now and I have seen several different units in both the East Tower and Tower buildings. Judging by the amount of hurricane shutters than remained closed in the West Tower for the entirety of our most recent stay, I'm guessing that only about half of the units in that building are rented out. This development offers both 2 and 3 bedroom condos. The layouts are spacious and maximize the views whenever possible. The units I've seen have been clean and nicely decorated. The balconies are very large and curve around so you have both Gulf and bay views. This means there's not much privacy since you can see not only the balconies of the building next door but the balconies of the units next to, above, and below you as well. So don't walk out on the balcony in your undies. The property is very well maintained and secure. Know your codes! You will need a code to: get into the front gate, use the elevator, work out in the gym, and come back up from the beach. It's kind of a pain as a renter to have to deal with all the different codes but if I was an owner I would appreciate the efforts to keep my property secure. It obviously also discourages riffraff from coming in and causing problems since a public beach access point is right next door. The beach service can be a bit disorganized at times but you have a choice of folding chairs and umbrellas at the waterline or loungers farther away from the action. Folks that come with their own beach chairs are not shy about setting up camp right next to you but I can't really begrudge anyone for wanting a front row seat at the beach. You are also welcome to set up a big shade tent in the designated area near the lounge chairs. Oh yeah, there are two outdoor pools and one indoor pool on the property but I could care less about a pool when I can play in the ocean. Beach Colony is one of our favorite places to stay on Perdido Key and I highly recommend it. I would suggest checking out VRBO to get the best rates.
