Called O.C.D. for a bid on two retaining walls and a walkway. Received the bid after Jacob came to see the property. After bid was accepted, the start date was set. Crew of three minus Jacob came with excavators and removed the old walls and dug the trench for the walkway. It was immediately obvious this crew was in over their experience level. Progress was negligible for two weeks. No supervision or guidance from Jacob or owner. Crew dwindled to two. Best work ethic I have ever seen from these two men who struggled with zero plan or support to accomplish what had been promised by Jacob. Walkway was a disaster because of lack of communication with whoever was supposed to be in charge. After a conversation with Jacob, the walkway was removed and begun again. The two men continued to be honorable workers, seemingly learning as they went . When it was completed the second time, it was better because of their effort to make it right under poor circumstances. Driveway was damaged by machine first day, Jacob agreed to repair it after job was completed. Loam was put down where lawn was destroyed, but never tamped, so first rain washed it downhill. Asphalt company came and noted the walkway was done in such a way that the patch would be difficult to make look right. Next spring we will be redoing the driveway to make it look less like a mistake was made. Mulch promised by walkway never came, after many calls to Jacob. Very frustrating the lack of professionalism and accountability from a man who gave the estimate that rose to 2,000.00 dollars over the bid before it was acceptable from a visual perspective. Will it last? We will find out. Will I ever ask O.C.D. to do another job? Absolutely not. read more
