They seemed mire efficient at there old place! Doctor is great but the wait time is not. Waited first day 40 mins had to come back for just a drive by shot I waited 30 mins (it makes animals stress) especially after they were just there.Other vets doctors call people at there car (covid)he comes out but maybe should have more than one.

Leo leaving the vet with his cone head.

I was so relieved to find this veterinarian. I have had 5 dogs over the last 17 years and have moved a lot so have had lots of experiences with an assortment of illnesses and different veterinarians. Very compassionate doctor and staff. He really took the time to explain the problem and what he was going to do to try to resolve it. When he explained that he was going to use my dogs Leo's blood to make a serum to help in healing his ongoing eye problem I was thinking OMG $$$ this sounds expensive. I was shocked at how reasonable the bill was today for the appointment, the plastic cone for his head the eye serum and other medication for his eye. I read more about the blood/eye/healing when I got home. Great plan. The assistant was a lovely, friendly women who was very attentive and caring towards Leo as well. I have had experiences at other veterinarians where I have feltl like I am in a car dealership being sold extra rustproofing for my car and that I am a bad pet owner if I don't agree to the long list of extra shots and services suggested that my "elderly dogs really should have". If you are new to the area or not thrilled with your current vet, I really can't say enough good things about my experience there today.

The reason I sought another facility for my pups is that after 15 years with another in town, my dogs appeared desperate to see me upon my return- not just happy, but unusually eager to leave. Because of this, I was very conscious of their demeanor when I picked them up from Red Fern and was pleased when I saw that while they were very happy to see me, they would have been just as happy to stay another day. That told me all I needed to know about Red Fern! This paired with the daily pictures of my babies having a ball, the report card shining light on their best qualities and my own positive experience with all of the staff made it clear that Red Fern is my pups' new home away from home when I am called out of town. If you are considering a boarding, grooming or training facility in Marion County, look no further than Red Fern Pet Lodge!

She is a high energy puppy, so this helps her burn off some of that energy. She comes home and sleeps good at night. I receive a report card and photos of her from Enrichment Day Care, which I just love. The team there knew Athena the moment we walked through the door after her first stay. While dropping her off, we witnessed many other dogs being dropped off, all just as happy and excited to be there as Athena. That says a lot about the place when the dogs are happy to be there. It's the best thing we could ever do to help Athena socialize and gain the confidence she needs to grow into a well rounded dog.

Prior to boarding, I requested daily report cards with photos to keep me updated on my puppy's well-being. However, I only received one update during his stay. This lack of communication left me concerned about whether he was being provided the playtime and attention that had been requested. What is most concerning is the condition in which my dog was returned to me. While staff informed me at pickup that he had become sick, this was never communicated to me beforehand. Had I been notified, I would have gladly paid for him to be bathed and cleaned before pickup. I was extremely disappointed to find that he appeared to have been left in urine and feces for an extended period. His coat was dry, crusted, and clearly had not been cleaned. This condition also raises concerns about how frequently he was being checked on and let out during his stay. As a pet owner, I expect clear communication and a basic standard of care, cleanliness, and attention. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet those expectations.

She was hacking, coughing, had phlegm and overall was sick. Continued into Wednesday. Pretty sure it's kennel cough. Which means deep cleaning is not happening. Our dog is senior and breathing challenged because she's an olde English bulldog. We'll never take her back. I called the facility to let them know, but all they said was sorry. Now we have to treat our entire house and leave her in a separate area because it can be transmitted to humans and other pets.
