This place is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Lots of on-site amenities and rec rooms. We stayed going to and coming from Disney. the management was helpful and friendly. It is safe and clean. Just off the highway to be quiet, but easy off and on Interstate 75. They were in the middle of construction on the back while we were here, but noises stopped at appropriate time. The only thing we had to figure out was where to put the trash. the brochure hadn't been updated for the current construction so they were doing pick up at sites. once we figured that out, all good. We would stay again coming this way.

Always clean, newer RV resort with all the amenities you would expect and more! Most sites are pull through which is awesome and they have a ton of shaded sites and tons of space if you need no shade for your Starlink! Staff were welcoming and competent and the RV resort takes great care of the grounds very meticulously. Since our visit last year, they have recently installed a bunch of brand new sites. 100% recommend!

Confirmed Covid cases and loud construction noises. Rarely do I ever write a bad review but this place is an exception. We checked in to this RV campground and there were 4 employees in the office. None were wearing masks. They escort you to your campsite and that gentlemen was not wearing a mask either. The first campers we saw walked up to us from site 38 ( no masks) and told us the campground was having an outbreak of covid. Their neighbors at site 58 had been sick over 10 days. I overheard the woman in the site across from us describing her symptoms to another camper ( no mask) and then went to laundry in the public laundry. Bottom line- we did not go there to get sick and the campers with covid were not quarantined or wearing masks. We asked the management why we had not been told and they had no response. We left early with no compensation to the days we had paid for. You should also be aware that they are adding over 200 new campsites. Construction noises and beeping machinery starts at 7:30 am and ends at 6:00pm. Even on Christmas Eve- there was noise until 3pm. They have removed so many trees you can hear I-75 traffic 24 hours a day. The pool has been closed for construction fir several months.

The nicest, cleanest, most attractive place ever. Lots of assistance, if needed. Very convenient to I75 but quiet and safe.

A great place to start your adventure and exploration of the Prarie…read more I recently stopped by the Payne's Prairie Preserve State Park Visitor Center in Micanopy, Florida, and it was a fantastic experience! Yes, you do pay the $6 per vehicle entrance fee to enter the state park, and it's a bit of a drive from the main gate along the park road to reach the parking lot. From there, you walk a short distance to the center itself. But once you arrive, it's absolutely worth it. The Visitor Center is very nice and modern building with large floor-to-ceiling windows directly across from teh entrance offering great views of the prairie itself. The staff, specifically Brad, was very helpful, The sets of displays provide an good overview of the prairie's natural and cultural history through interactive exhibits. There is also a short film in the theater room about the location. I really liked the observation area and spotting scopes. One scope was perfectly trained on a bald eagle perched about two miles away. I thought that was an incredible sight! It made the whole prairie feel alive and gave us a real sense of the wildlife that calls this special place home (wild horses and bison live here too). There is a small gift shop, restrooms, and the building provides easy access to trails and an observation tower nearby. It's a perfect starting point to understand and appreciate this unique place. If you're in the Gainesville area, make time for Payne's Prairie. The Visitor Center is a hidden gem that turns a simple stop into a memorable visit. I highly recommended it.

The drive in and to the visitor center is so pretty! The trees make a nice, shady canopy. You can see various animals from the observation tower, open range or hiking. It was late afternoon and hot when we were there so we didn't see much (one deer!) and I'm sure the animals were in the shade somewhere.

The folks residing here are friendly & tend to watch out for one another, which is reassuring. Located on Lake Rousseau, where the fishing is plentiful. They have a small bathhouse (1 shower) & a nice laundry (3 washers @ $1.75/3 dryers at $1 per load). There's no cable & OTA is unreliable, but the wifi is excellent. TV channels are not consistent, but I really haven't missed watching it very much. Although I do watch a few channels occasionally, it's given me a great opportunity to catch up on some reading. Speaking of reading, there is a book exchange area in the laundry. These folks also own Big Bass Village RV down the road, so you can't always catch someone in the office, but the manager (Suzie) got back with me very quickly when I emailed her from the address on the website. I think the owners are really working hard to make this a beautiful place. It has great potential, it's VERY reasonably priced (lower than anyone else in the area), & are quick to answer questions or suggest sights/views/restaurants. I'm really glad that this was the RV park we chose for our stay in this pretty part of Florida.

We arrived after 7 pm, the gate was closed so we had to call the after-hours number. Someone answered promptly, and a couple of employees were driving around in a gold cart and let us in and even guided us to our site. Check out was through text and was easy. The resort is clean and quiet, and every spot can fit a full class A motor home, so there is no worrying that they might not have a spot to accommodate your rig. The resort had a large pool, tiki bar, office with a pool table, ping pong, games, and an exercise room. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of order during our stay. Everything else seemed to be in good working order. I thought it was really convenient that they will pick up your trash as long as you set it by the street by 10 am. Rating from F to A +++. I give it an A+++.

They brought it a Regional Manager Janine, and the place has gone downhill ever since. No more food trucks, limited activities, and now having to pay for any arts and crafts. This was a luxury resort, but not anymore. The sites are great, pool is nice and pickleball courts are always being used in the mornings. But when you take away all the little extras, it slowly goes downhill. Hopefully the owners will figure out how to correct these things and people will return
