This event was cancelled due to Covid and my husband asked for a refund. Cameron told him there were no funds in the system so a refund was not possible. He said my boys could go to other practices and games in Newport Beach because their Covid policies were more lenient at the time. We said that did not make us feel comfortable due to a Covid related death in our family. After reaching out on numerous occasions and not getting a response from Cam, I reached out to Lori Ceballos who was a partner in the company. She was sympathetic in the beginning but that quickly changed. She called to tell me Cam said my son played in the box games. In fact, he did not but another boy had the same first name as my son. Cam does not know these kids' names. He even texted my husband to ask if he would be interested in playing box because he thought my husband was a player. Lori eventually emailed me a snarky letter stating the company did not have the funds but she would personally Zelle me money. This of course did not happen as Cam told her not to. I heard from several parents at my boy's school that Cam contacted them and was in the process of paying back families in full. I emailed a letter saying I would like to be included in families being owed money. His response was, "I have many families to get to, and quite frankly, you are last on the list. I will let you know when the 1stpayment will go out." Well...I'm still waiting. I have emailed several times. As the previous review stated, dead silence. Nowhere on their website does it state the money is non-refundable. My boys played for two years under Cameron doing Storm box and field tournaments. We never got a uniform. Other club teams have matching pinnies, shirts, shorts or combination. Storm is very unorganized regarding communication, practices, etc. Please take your money and find another club. You have to question the reviews when they are all 5 stars within a 1 month timeframe.

Legitimately some of the best money we spend in baseball…read more We've been seeing Jordan consistently for the last three years, and between my two boys, he has worked with them on pitching, catching, and hitting at one point or another. We've also worked with Brian on occasion, and they are both excellent. The instruction is fantastic, but what really sets them apart is that they teach the game, not just the position. They care about developing the whole player. The strategy and mental side of baseball get just as much attention as the physical mechanics, and they explain the why behind what they're teaching in a way the kids can understand and apply. It's actually really hard to find coaches who not only understand the mechanics and know the position, but also know how to teach younger players in a way that actually clicks. Baseball is a ridiculously tough sport, and without the mental side, the physical skills only get you so far. Brian and Jordan are also just fantastic mentors who genuinely care about the kids they work with. I highly recommend both of them. I send all my friends there!

My experience with RTGSA has been nothing short of a nightmare. My daughter was being relegated to…read morethe outfield and I was not sure why, since her performance at games and practices was better than the players being placed in the infield positions in competitive games. When she was benched more than any other player during our first tournament, I decided to talk to the coach. I was surprised at how unreceptive he was. I was simply asking if he could consider my child for infield play in a competitive game. He said she had not earned it. I pointed out that she had no errors during the noncompetitive games, when he did allow her to play infield, while the other players had several errors in the competitive games. He said it wasn't based on games, but rather practice performance. I had been at every practice and was pretty sure my daughter performed as well or better than the other players; however, I was open to the possibility that I was wrong. So I payed careful attention at the next practice and filmed the drills and sure enough my daughter made more plays than the other players chosen over her. The coach had told me positioning was a group decision between the coaches and that I should discuss the issue with the other coaches. When I did, I was attacked and accused of "throwing kids under the bus." It didn't make sense that discussing my daughter's performance with the coaches, which was what they allegedly did before every game, was being characterized in such a negative manner. It was odd and confusing. Then it occurred to me that perhaps this was an attack because my daughter is the only black player on the team and how dare I say she's better than the white players. Although I asked for an explanation regarding this terminology, I never received one. Although the head coach had previously invited parents to approach him directly if they had a problem, rather than discussing the matter with other parents, so that the environment could remain positive, and despite my honoring his request, the assistant coach took my email out of context and sent it to all the parents behind my back. At the next practice my daughter got 5 minutes of infield drills while the other players had 40 minutes of infield drills. The very next game, that coach's wife manipulated the data in GameChanger omitting errors by the infield players. When I raised the issue with the president of rtgsa, he blew me off. He gave some lip service dismissing my concerns and did nothing to address how my daughter was being mistreated at practice or the manipulation of data on GameChanger. He refused to turn over form 990, which is required by law for a nonprofit organization and refused to turn over the "coaches code of conduct." Why would they withhold their own policoes I don't know how a simple request evolved into this heated battleground, unless racism is at play. My daughter was so distraught, asking me why does the coach say he's going to rotate us but he puts me in the outfield the whole game. She even wrote a letter to the president about the unfair treatment, but of course he was too cowardly to respond. If my daughter notices the mistreatment, I have to believe the other players see the only black player relegated to the outfield and benched more than other players. I wouldn't want that message sent to my child, regardless of color. There are lots of options for softball and I would be wary of how your child will be treated and what your child will be exposed to with this league. Just want to update what occurred after my post. At a scrimmage, the following evening, the coach began yelling at me in the middle of the scrimmage for filming the scrimmage. Then I was threatened that my daughter better not return to RTGSA in the Spring. To be clear, it's 2019, and they don't want the one black player on the RTGSA 10U Force team to return.

I had a great experience with a coach who worked for Andrew. She was an excellent instructor, and I…read morelearned a lot from her. I ultimately left the academy, though, because of Andrew's volatility and aggression. He has been repeatedly reported to the city for shouting at members of the public who are using courts he wants, and I've personally witnessed him bullying his instructors -- at times in front of the kids he coaches. In one incident, after speaking dismissively to his mom -- who is a well-liked member of his team -- one of his elementary-age students turned to someone nearby and asked, "Why is he talking to her like that?" I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving children in that environment for lessons. He was also unprofessional with me on multiple occasions. For example, after I was hit in the eye with a tennis ball during one of his instructor's live ball sessions, I temporarily lost clear vision and had to go to urgent care. In the weeks it took me to fully recovery, I did not hear from Andrew. When I returned to live ball after a couple of weeks, I left after the warm-up because I didn't feel well. Although I was initially not charged for that session -- which felt reasonable given the injury and the amount I had already invested in lessons through the academy that year -- I did end up paying. Despite that, I received a series of texts from Andrew blaming me for not paying, and also for the class being disrupted weeks earlier when I was injured and needed help getting to urgent care. That interaction ultimately confirmed my decision to leave. Given the environment, I can't recommend the academy.
