Although my son has transferred to another school, but I know I still owe them a good review. My…read moreson is a very special child, and we tried many so-called "popular schools" in the area before, but I later discovered that this school was the best. Irvine Montessori is his first school, because of our good experience, we transferred to Newport Montessori after we went to lots of other schools. If you want your child to grow up in a safe, kind, and loving environment, this is the best choice. My son used to have problems at other schools. He didn't want to go to school in the morning, and he had trouble getting along with his friends. He even liked to push other children. But for some reason, after coming to this school, all his bad behavior disappeared. He was happy to go to school every day. He made many friends at school. Every day when he went to school, many classmates would come and hug him. This was completely the opposite of how he had been described as a monster at other schools. Later I realized that it all depended on the kind teachers in this school. Because of their kindness, every child was taught to treat everyone with kindness. Ms Angela, Ms Emily even his previous teacher Ms Everly. They all so kind. Of course, there are many other kind teachers as well. I would even say that the school owner is really good at hiring; everyone here is kind. Because of my previous experience, you can't imagine how grateful I am to this school. My son has had a truly enjoyable time here. I feel so relaxed. All the anxiety I used to have is gone. Don't assume that just because they aren't as famous as other schools, their academics are inferior. I personally witnessed their professors providing one-on-one academic instruction, something that other schools don't seem to offer. I'm not good at leaving positive reviews. But I feel I have to give them a good review, just to put my mind at ease. Thank you Newport Montessori! If they have an elementary program , we would definitely stay here !

I want to acknowledge that the teachers at this school were exceptional, and even some of the…read moredirectors stood out for their dedication and care. Unfortunately, I can only give this school one star because, over the four years my children were here, I witnessed multiple disturbing incidents where the owner and directors engaged in heated verbal arguments on campus--resulting in at least two directors quitting. The hostile work environment fostered by the owner seems to have caused significant anxiety among the staff, leading to a high turnover rate that ultimately harms the children who form strong attachments to their teachers. As a parent, stability is my top priority when choosing a preschool, which is why I made the difficult decision to pull my children out. If you're looking for a school that operates like a family--a place where employees are valued and the well-being of the staff and students is prioritized--this is not that place. It's deeply concerning that, even after speaking with parents who had children here nearly a decade ago, it seems the same issues persist. In a time when we have the power to choose where to spend our money, I cannot in good conscience support a business that treats its employees so poorly. I sincerely hope the school ownership changes.

Miss Portia and Miss Katie are nothing short of amazing!! Some people are just born to be teachers and they both are. I don't know how they do it. You can actually feel the love they have for each individual child that comes through the doors. My son loves them and tells me he wants to stay at Sunshine and doesn't want to go to kindergarten. I found Sunshine through Google. We came and sat in a class and were blown away. My son took to it like a fish to water and signed him up right there on the spot. I wanted a Co-op preschool. Not just because you can't beat the price, but also I wanted to be able to work in the classroom and see my child grow and flourish. I also loved that Sunshine is like a little community. Every parent there wants the same thing and works together to make sure the children get the most out of their experience. I can honestly say that I have made friendships here that will last a lifetime. Another reason we were sold on Sunshine is the amount of supervision the children get. Not only is there a teacher but also four parents working at all times to help. I know some other preschools that only had one teacher and have heard the horror stories. I always felt like my son was safe when I dropped him off at school and to me that was priceless! We can't wait to come back to Sunshine with our youngest, we would never go anywhere else. This school and the wonderful, loving teachers have been the best intro to school (for me and my…read moredaughter!) that I ever could have imagined. My daughter loves school and Miss Crystal so much, and so do I...being able to actively participate in her first years of school has really put my mind at ease! Crystal truly loves these kiddos like her own, and is so patient with them, and from our very first day here, I've felt nothing but 100% trust and peace of mind when my daughter is at school. We still have the rest of this year and next year here before we have to move on to elementary school, and I'm already feeling anxious about leaving Sunshine, Crystal, and Portia! We couldn't be happier!

Always greeting children with a smile on their faces and making sure our little ones have the best experience in social, emotional and educational development. They are focused on playology, and Jacqueline has mastered play-based learning. On top of that she is so smart, kind and sincerely loves her students and teaching them. The activities are so fun, like smashing hallow eggs with letter to learn the alphabet or matching rocks to outlined shapes. She goes all out on occasions, once she even brought in snow for the kids! Seriously, snow! And they had a blast. Really, she should be teaching others how to teach in the play based way. The kids love her program and her, and benefit greatly from it. My children don't want to leave and have developed so much during their time at the Gordon Preschool. We are so blessed to have met Jacqueline and attended the Gordon Preschool!!!!

They took to the time to do a meet and greet and made her feel right at home. We started the next week! She has learned so much, talks about the friends she has at school and requests that we drive by Ms. Jacqui's house whenever we get in the car so she can see pre-school. The creative learning/play schedule that she comes up is really unique. They even brought in real snow for a day! The toddler years are full of so many emotions, so much brain development and honestly every day can be a different challenge. I love that they recognize that and know exactly what they need to do to make the day go smooth for each child. We love Gordon Preschool!

I want to be very clear: The teachers and on-site staff at Bright Horizons Newport Beach are…read morephenomenal. They are dedicated, professional educators who have been instrumental in my son's development since 2022. My 1-star review is a direct reflection of the Regional and Corporate Leadership, who have proven to be out of touch, rigid, and entirely dismissive of the families they serve. After four years of loyalty and nearly $97,000 in tuition, we were notified on April 3rd that the center is closing permanently on June 26th. Bright Horizons gave families less than 90 days' notice. In the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area, registration for reputable TK and summer programs closes in February. By the time they told us, we were already locked out of the market. When I reached out to leadership to collaboratively propose a 34-business-day extension to mid-August--to prevent my child from having to endure three different care transitions in six weeks--I was met with canned, corporate jargon. They refused a 7-week "bridge" extension, citing "staffing stability." They essentially admitted that their own HR logistics are more important than the developmental stability of the children. They are willing to leave families stranded in a childcare desert rather than find a creative solution for 34 days of operations. It is heartbreaking to see such wonderful teachers and students treated like line items on a spreadsheet. Bright Horizons markets itself as a "partner" to working parents, but their actions prove otherwise. They are a massive corporation that will pull the rug out from under your family's life with zero regard for local reality. If you are looking for a childcare provider that values long-term partnership and human stability, look elsewhere. The teachers here deserve better, and the families certainly do too. If your company offers this as a "benefit," be careful. Your child's stability is only guaranteed as long as it fits their "business needs."

It was the first place that felt like home! I needed care for an infant and they had a large open space that was clean and engaging. What really sold me was the tour given by Miss Ally. She listened to my concerns and ensured me that my child's needs would be met. They didn't require drop off at a certain time. Other centers did. They welcomed updates about sleep, temperament, and would adjust their care accordingly. Awesome. We started when my little one was 10 months old. He is now 15 months and loves daycare! They dance, they play, they learn, they do art. All the caregivers are wonderful. The staff answers questions and will even give advice. They have become trusted partners in raising my child. AND they allow me to switch care days if they have availability. This is something other centers don't offer. I am so lucky to have found Bright Horizons. I wanted the best for my little one. And I found it. :)
