Even though Crate and Barrel to folks seems expensive they do have some rare affordable pieces everyone would love. I usually love getting Kitchenware or cutlery for friends and family as gift during holiday season and their selection is great. I want to shoutout Allie who helped at the store yesterday I had made online order and was ready for pick when I arrived it was ready but did mention what I ordered was not crystal but plastic. She quickly helped get it replaced with another item. Helped me gift wrap it. They were having system issues so we had to move to 3 different check out counters but she was patient and kind. She kept apologizing and ensuring I was fine. Shoutout to Allie for great customer service.

On 9/6/22 this store provided the worst shopping experience I've had in years. The place looks OK…read morefrom I-35 but when you actually try to shop there you realize this is a bad dream if a store. I went in there strongly motivated to spend money on clothes for my elderly disabled friend, but I was defeated So disappointing, because I actually brought my friend with me. He is poor, but by golly, he deserves to be treated courteously! That did not happen at this Ross store. I feel terribly disappointed that we had to run into a rude and insulting salesgirl. My friend had been *very* excited to know he was about to get some decent clothes. It was kind of a big deal to him! When we left that store empty-handed I was just heartbroken on his behalf. He was looking forward to a special social event the next day and definitely need something to wear. I had a strong feeling we were being racially profiled. My friend is an American Indian (though he could be mistaken for Hispanic) and I'm extremely White. We're both senior citizens. Racial and cultural prejudice enable people to treat others as less-than-human, un-deserving of respect, dignity consideration. BESIDES racial and cultural prejudice, what DOES provoke people to treat others rudely? Neither one of us knows the neighborhood. My friend just moved to Desoto and doesn't drive, and I'm from North Dallas. I googled places to buy men's clothes in Desoto and found Ross. But before taking my friend here, I actually checked out Ross stores in Dallas and Ft Worth. (You see, I needed to be reassured the Ross "brand" has improved since I visited a bad Ross store several years ago) Yes, I actually visited Ross stores to make sure It would be OK to bring my friend to one. Those Ross stores were just fine and the prices were terrific. I thought we'd have a happy, productive shopping experience at the Desoto Ross. Nope. Just TOSS THIS ROSS!!! HERE IN DESOTO -- unlike at other Ross stores -- the parking lot is dark and littered with trash. Entrance looks like an employees-only backdoor. Inventory is not much better than a garage sale, and the prices are ridiculously high. (Completely out of line!). It's beneath Ross standards which, let's face it, aren't that high. Not enough to make you stay home? Try getting help from the rude employees! They act like their housekeeping chores are more important than what a customer asks. Just forget about using the dressing room if the clerk has to "do rack" whatever the heck that means! We found the dressing room blocked by a bunch of racks pushed together Eevery which-way -- as if children had erected a barricade. We were then DISS-served by a girl who rushed over to tell us the dressing room was "closed". She could not communicate in sentences, displayed the social skills of a hostile 8th-grader, and seemed to lack simple problem-solving skills. WHILE WE WERE TALKING TO HER, SHE TURNED HER BACK AND WALKED AWAY. No matter where you come from, no matter who you are, that is an insult. Am I mad at HER? Nope! She had poor home training, or lacked proper education at school, or she receives awful leadership from her supervisor. She probably missed out on every score: home, education and supervision. I'm sad that young people go out into the world without adequate preparation for retail sales jobs. (Really, of course, it is on me and on ALL of us who have not committed enough resources to our education system) Well, she is young, and I hope she'll gradually acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes she needs to do the job. However, I do not think respect for others is easy to acquire. Nor is it easy to overcome racial contempt. This generally requires spiritual insight. Shame on Ross. This store needs leadership and management. And if they don't start doing what the retail industry calls "merchandising" ( look it up, Ross! ) they won't survive in business a heck of a lot longer. If this store isn't worthy of the investment they should close it

I declined mainly because i was disappointed and greatly disgusted that women of color would discriminate me another woman of color. Might not have been the same color but who is? I just wish the managers would put themselves in my position and ask themselves does 30% off make things better? I would have preferred them to tell me a training session will be held due to this unfortunate situation. I will never return and i will encourage my friends and family never to visit this location again. I might return with my camera on to show the customer service and how it differs depending on your race.

Jessica was awesome to talk with about what I needed for my office. She made great recommendations and gave me options that fit my needs. It was very helpful to talk it through with someone experienced like Jessica and her team. They were very professional and made my office look amazing! I highly recommend CHC Design Group for ordering office furniture and giving your office a complete makeover.

Great service, great products!…read more I reached out to the Owner of Captivating Home Collection after seeing a living room coffee table she posted online. I knew the table would be a great addition to my living room, which I was redesigning at the time. She responded almost immediately to my initial inquiry and provided specs and details about the piece in order to help me make my decision. I purchased both an end table and the coffee table, which both arrived within 3 business days of placing the order! Both pieces were very easy to assemble with simple instructions. In addition to the tables, the Owner took the time to understand what vision I had for my re-design. After sharing a few images from my Pinterest board and photos of my living room, she went to work by recommending pieces that fit the design scheme. I fell in love with a wood and white oversized mirror that fit the design perfectly. I purchased two mirrors and upon arrival, noticed the mirrors were heavy, high quality materials that were worth the minimal investment. The pieces that I have purchased from CHC are gorgeous and high quality and the customer service is unmatched. The owner takes the time to understand what you're looking for and will make recommendations from her vast catalog of products.. I will definitely buy from CHC again!

My neighbor recommended Darrel Gray, a business owner whose company name is D&J Development LLC, 3016 N I-35, Lancaster, Texas. My neighbor did state she used him for small jobs. Please beware of D&J Development LLC. This company does not stand by its work or will not guarantee its work. To be transparent, I attached the text conversation with Darrell and myself. I signed a contract to pay 2300 to lay over 262 square feet of tiles. I paid for all the materials. Darrell didn't have to spend any expenses. I gave him 1000 dollars and we agreed I would pay 1300 when the job was complete. A job he quoted was to take four days, have been 3 wks. Alex, his worker, cut off 3 different door trims; the bottom of my doors was cut off half an inch too high. Leaving space between my tile and the door trim. My bathroom area of tile is 66 square feet and was totally unleaved. Darrell promised to pull up & redo 13 tiles so the tile could be even and not stick up; that equals 3 cases of expensive porcelain tiles that were destroyed. the unfinished baseboard left not painted - some areas still have no based board. The damage for replacing doors trims, having someone redo areas that were not done properly, and just finishing what was started will cost me more money. Throughout this process, my husband and I continue asking Darrell to bring in a second person to help Alex. He didn't listen and only made excuses why the work wasn't turning out right. Before the job was complete, Darrel asked me to pay $500 in advance to pay Alex. Have no earthly idea why he didn't pay Alex out the first $1000 I paid for labor. Since he didn't have to spend money on materials. Beware!! of D&J Development - nothing is professional about this company.
