I would rate the service among the best anywhere. Totally spectacular. The food was also great. Very nicely prepared and very well presented. A broad selection of menu choices and a nice selection of wines. The Kommodchen signature desert was a very nice surprise! Contrary to other reviews, I did feel that the prices were quite fair. In fact, I would call it a bargain considering the quality of the service and the wonderful food. I can not wait to return!

On my first visit, I was worried it would be difficult to order without knowing German at all but they spoke fluent English and had an English menu. The owner came back several times to check how I was doing. I ordered the salad with salmon and king prawns with extra seafood. It was amazing. The food quality is definitely among one of the best, although not Michelin star level but on par with Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. On my second visit as he carried the food out of the kitchen, the owner recognized me from my side view and greeted me by name. Needless to say, if I'm ever back in town, I'll be back.
