I attempted to book ChelanGlam for my wedding hair and makeup. Unfortunately, it never came to…read morefruition due to their lack of communication. It took nearly 2 weeks from my initial inquiry just to get sent a questionnaire. After filling that out, it took nearly 3 more weeks to hear back regarding estimates, and then yet another week to actually receive those estimates. After having to wait for almost 6 weeks, I was then told my estimate would expire in 7 days. Due to a family emergency that came up, I wasn't able to accept within that time frame. I reached back out shortly after, apologizing for the delay and asking if they could extend or resend the estimates. No response. After seeing photos of their work online, I was really looking forward to booking them, but that never happened. I realize they're a small company, but I don't understand why any of this communication would or should take THAT long. And even if they weren't able to resend my estimate for whatever reason, ANY response would have been appreciated over silence. I think it's a bit inconsiderate to make brides, who are actively trying to compare/book vendors, sit around forever in hopes of getting a reply. Ultimately, it worked out in the end. I booked someone else who responded promptly and had rates that I felt were more reasonable. (ChelanGlam quoted me a rate of $860 just for bride hair/makeup, plus trial, which was a few hundred dollars more than any other estimate I was given for the same services.)

It was initially hard to find the polish colors, and I wasn't given the color book until later in the process, which made things a little difficult. I got a gel manicure and pedicure, but I was concerned that some of the standard steps for a gel service were missed. Unfortunately, one of my nails chipped after just a few days. I also found the pricing to be a little high and the menu a bit confusing with duplicate items and price ranges rather than set prices.
