Two of my children went all the way through and finished the Middle School Program and they left Five Oaks more than prepared for high school! FOA students are smart, well rounded, compassionate, confident and independent. FOA is truly a gem in the Upstate. The staff are some of the most wonderful people you will ever meet, and they work hard to make Five Oaks amazing. Sure, there were a few hiccups along the way, because schools and people aren't perfect. But, overall, I don't think we I could have found a better school for our kids.

I don't care what political spectrum you are, or your beliefs, we should all agree that an adult in power should protect the students from not just outside threats but to real, life ruining, trauma inducing, bullying that happens inside the school and Susan Brown failed. She failed as an admin, she failed as an adult in school, she failed as a protector, and she failed at being a kind person. Looking on greatschools you will find multiple other reports that bullying is a major problem at this school and the teachers turn a blind eye to bullying both physical bullying and verbal bullying because it's up to the admins to administer punishment, and you know what person shouldn't be at the head of this? I'll tell you, an admin who doesn't care about the bullying. I would also like to bring to light that i believe she didn't care about my boyfriend being called the f slur because of her political belief.

His teachers were incredible all three years he was there. Hands on experiences, chorus, STEAM, Spanish, art and P.E. The principal Mrs. Fitzgerald sets the bar high and leads by example. She stands outside at morning drop off every day to greet the kids by name. If you have the opportunity to send your child there, I highly recommend Green Charter Elementary School. ADHD friendly PTO volunteer opportunities helped me to feel connected to this school. I especially liked volunteering in the garden, career day, and watching the lunch room occasionally.

From KT with Debbie Patterson, who is a modern-day Saint, to the many, many other great teachers they have had and still have, and the leadership, made up of caring, concerned, Christian people who love and care about our children, it has been outstanding. And the education they are receiving is second-to-none. Both our son and daughter score in the upper 5% of the national testing each year. They have STEM and computer classes, and of course all of the standards, as well as Christian training. But most of all, the teachers there LOVE the children. They care about your children. And the other parents are a huge factor too. These are parents that are involved in their children's lives and are working with you to see that they all succeed. Finally, I saw another review here that was inaccurate and misleading. Please google search the accusations. The incident is described in a way that is factually incorrect and paints the school in a bad light. I don't know what the reviewer's motivations are, but I have to wonder why they included something that they clearly did not understand or have direct knowledge of, as the news and police reports paint a very different picture. I would be happy to discuss anything with anyone about Shannon Forest Christian school. It is not perfect, no place is, but it is an OUTSTANDING choice for parents who are looking for an affordable, caring, small class sized, Christian school for their children.
