Now we live a bit far away, but in an online search for a place with a good selection of healthy house plants, Knollwood came up repeatedly. So we drove down & were amazed by the terrific selection of not only house plants, but also pots, gifts & beautiful Christmas decor! The place is huge and it's FULL! And the products they're making for Christmas are stunning. Even my somewhat curmudgeonly husband was impressed. And their prices, especially for house plants & pots, are way lower than other competitors, even the big box places. The plants are healthier, too. And the best thing was the help we received. I was seeking advice for plants I might not accidentally kill, and the lovely young woman who helped me (I think her name was Kirsten or Kristen??) was so knowledgeable. She asked some good questions, then gave me advice on what to choose, and then while I was shopping she thoughtfully placed two gifts I had already chosen into pretty organza gift bags! I was really just amazed by this, Amazing selection, prices, and especially service that you just don't get anymore these days. You'll find all of it at Knollwood!!!

Sidewalk slumped and had a major crack within a couple of weeks - they reinstalled about a year later. Planted incorrect plants and not all of the plants in the contract - took a year and a half to correct that. Spring cleanup and fall cleanup was ok, except the trimming of a couple of bushes. Trimming was very uneven and almost killed an established bush. We requested (multiple times) that they call before they come to the house to do work since we were having other work done on the house and that there were periodic healthcare providers coming out. The remembered twice to do this, but then neglected to do so the 8 other times. The maintenance program was horrible - the mulch was nonexistent in patches; they killed 7 plants with their spraying; and they agreed to pull large weeds and then refused to. After two monthly treatments, they just walked away. I would NOT recommend - they are overwhelmed and the different groups within the organization don't appear to talk to one another.

They came out a few days ago to complete the work and they did a fantastic job! The front of their house looks so much better than it did before and they are both so incredibly happy. Personally I have shopped at Tom's for natural looking border rocks and have been very satisfied with the quality and price of what I purchased. We have purchased MANY trees over the years from Browns and other local nurseries, but our latest…read moreexperience at Browns has not been good. A tree we purchased 10 months ago has not been doing well. It has been properly planted and cared for-even "babied" along-and still not doing well. We are not at all new to tree planting or basic knowledge, so to have this kind of issue is very very rare for us. We have inquired back with Browns 3 times now as to what we can do to help this tree make it, and have gotten zero help or answers this far. We are getting the feeling that they are just waiting for our 1 year from purchase guarantee to pass by so that they can skip their commitment. We do not necessarily want the tree to be replaced, we want their input to know to make this tree thrive better and we are not getting it. Our next tree/shrubs may be coming from someplace else. Update from initial paragraphs above... absolutely zero "customer service" for the tree, and our time ran out. We had to cut it down. $300+ in the burn pile. I very rarely give a business this kind of review, but I honestly feel that this was warranted. We played by all of their retune/customer purchase rules and guidelines, and they did nothing.
