Great doctors and staff, friendly and very professional ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,took care of all of my needs within a reasonable cost

I went here a while back to begin my dental journey in SJ and I would NEVER recommend, especially to those with medical anxieties. It had been a long while since my last dental visit and I was extremely anxious, the lady I was paired to was patronizing, rude, and extremely rough with her tools. I get nauseous easily, and when I asked for a bag as a precaution, she rolled her eyes and said "not even kids need this". At the end of the appointment, I felt pressured by the staff to rebook and when I came home I realized I would not be going back there. Since, I have responded to messages from them to cancel all bookings, stop all messaging, and even had my husband cancel over the phone. The result? YOU ARE STILL TEXTING ME! I was honestly going to move on quietly, but for you to text me, after I specifically said I would not be returning, to prompt an appointment I didn't ask for? You're worse than an ex. If someone is unhappy with your service, let them leave peacefully. Otherwise, enjoy my HONEST review of your service. UPDATE: literally same day I write this review you text me again? But after having our cleanings done and both having cavities filled, we can honestly say it was essentially painless and --as dentist visits go-- enjoyable. Dr Vahid (Behnam) the best Dentist my mother and flew from Los Angeles to come here had to pull out a wisdom tooth and one implant experienced 0 pain nothing NADAA I'm a scary wuss when it comes to my teeth scared of big needle going to my gum but honestly he made it painless for me. He went over everything step by step. The staff was supper Caring PROFESSIONAL and Sweet all smiling through the whole time I was there (couple of hours ) office was spotless extra mask in box and sanitizer every corner only one patient at the time inside of office he is price was very reasonable compare to all The other doctors I have gone to In LA or SF he is one of the top dentist if I could I would give him 10 stars. Lately I moved 100 miles away but my wife and I continue to visit this office because we understand a good Dentist is hard to find. His staff is 2nd to none, Jennifer the office manager exceeds our expectations. They canceled my appt. becuz I couldnt answer their text even tho I called to confirm 24 hours before Jenifer canceled my appt. I travel 200 miles and booked it 3 mos. prior becuz they had no openings sooner. I turn my phone off when at work. I've never heard of a company doing this. Its unacceptable. Went in as a new patient and found no douche baggery happening there. The staff were nice, their dentists' were understanding of my needs and request were handled to satisfaction. Clean and tidy is what I saw there. I went in there knowing I would need my old crowns replaced, they recommended I get them done at a later date all up to me. Ok, I really don't like writing anything negative about places, but I suppose the truth must be told. I have started coming to this place about a year ago. I didn't understand the whole concept of this office until recently. Basically, you make an appointment, and apparently, you are seen by which ever doctor is there that day. I am used to having one and only dentist, so this may be a reason I am bitter. So #1, I did not like being seen by a new dentist every time I visited. I prefer to see someone who will always be there or at least I can see on a regular basis. I'm not sure why, but I was terrified every time I walked in this place. My palms would start sweating and I would be soooo scared! Never really figured out why. The "rooms" weren't exactly rooms. Its more like an open space with some clear block partitions. I didn't like this. Not too crazy about patients, etc. walking by and checking out what I was getting done. I prefer to be in my own private room while someone has their hand in my mouth thanks. Here is the kicker.... So this year, I got my 2 annual check ups.. one in January, the other in August. In January, I even got x-rays. It didn't even cross my mind that when I had an appointment in December, that I had already had my previous two cleanings. So I go in for my appointment, and she takes me to the x-ray chair. Me: What are we doing? DA: We are going to take some X-Rays. (Puts apron thingy on me) Let me check your file and see if you need X-rays Me: (thinking to myself "shouldn't you have checked my chart BEFORE you brought me in here???) I don't think I need X-Rays DA: Oh, well let me check, we might be able to do them (she checks and realizes i guess that it had been less than a year so she sends me back out to the waiting room) After that, I had a typical appointment. The Dental assistants are more interested in talking to each other rather than getting their job done. I also don't like any of the work I got done there. They took out my fillings and replaced them with the "white" ones so you cannot tell. Well, my bite has been crooked ever since. I then go to pay, and she looks at my chart and says "ok, well your insurance allows for you to get three cleanings per year, and this was your third one." I thought to myself "WTF" I have never had three cleanings per year!?!? Why do I need three now? I can see if I had some sort of mouth fungus or some crazy gum disease.... but i don't. It just really pissed me off that because my insurance will allow it, they took advantage of it and brought me in. Totally wasting MY time! I have to admit, a lot of the staff in there is very friendly. I guess I just don't like they way they do business. read more

horrible place! i would give it a 0 but i cant. NEVER returns calls back. I needed to have so much work done on my teeth and i would have to call them everytime to follow up on the status. Not to mention I had a deep cleaning done and less than 6 months they said i needed another one. I finally had enough and went elsewhere and they said i in-fact DID NOT NEED ONE! i have to agree with the other reviewers here. I dont really have a problem with the dental work but I have a problem with the way business is done. I was referred to and outside agency and I asked them repeatedly what the cost of the entire treatment would be and I was told an amount. Turns out the amount was for only half the treatment. I cant blame this directly on oakridge dental but they are working with the company that mislead me. I was so irritated I never finished treatment. Dr. Naimi at Oakridge is a wonderful dentist. Lorraine, the receptionist as well as Jennifer are very attentive, professional and kind. The dental assistants are very communicative (which I am grateful for) while I wait for the dentist. The endodontist raved about Dr. Naimi's work. I like them a lot. I've been going there for about 10 years. Although I have some experiences there that I didn't really care for - I tend to forget about them and I did complain about them to the staff -- so far so good. That's my 2 cents. OK... my Dentist has so much wisdom!! He now has taken 3 of my wisdom teeth!! Whenever my 4th decides to pop out, I know who I am calling :)

Well first of all, I walked in the office and decor was old and very out dated which should have been indication #1 to walk out. It had an unlcean government clinic feel to me. I went in for a standard cleaning and I waited about 45 minutes to an hour passed my appointment time. I then went into the room where they were going to clean my teeth and felt like it was unclean but unfortunately, I still let them clean my teeth. I am still very creeped out by the thought that those utensils may not have been properly cleaned.... The next thing I knew the dentist comes picking and pulling at my teeth and fillings telling me I need this done and that done and when i t was all said and done it was going to cost me something like another $800 plus and then the girls at the counter offering me bargain basement discounts, etc if I schedule it today or by this date. It just didn't fill like a professional dentist office to me. I never had any problems with my teeth they never hurt but when I left that place my teeth were hurting so bad! I dont' know what that dentist did but I have always been told how healthy and strong my teeth were but after all that pulling and tugging on my my teeth she must have loosened a filling... The only reason I went there in the first place was because our dental insurance was changed. I will pay extra before I go back there. Another thing, as I was leaving the office the receptionist found out I was a business owner in the field of her interest she asked me for a job. Very unprofessional and then I felt stalked after awhile because she kept sending me her resume. Obvisously, she didn't get the hint when I never called her. First Impressions: I've decided to take a journey from start to finish. I found this office through my insurance company. There are good and bad reviews on every dentist I could find. I decided to try them out. New insurance, new dentist. My faith in dentist isn't the highest, I've gone to Bay Dental which is basically a chop shop...again because of my insurance. So...onto Oakridge Dental... I met with Dr. Vahid & Dr. Mashosen(?). I really liked them. They made me feel comfortable. The first day they only needed to put back in a crown that had come off. My mouth needs a lot of work, they didn't sugar coat it, but they did make me feel like my teeth are savable and they'll work with me, my insurance and my budget. I've noticed a few comments about them only interested in getting money. I didn't observe that on my first visit. But when I read that I thought....don't we all work to make money?! At the end of the day, we scratch each others back. Stay tuned..... my next apt will be to discuss my whole mouth and put the plan into action. It's hard to find a new dentist, someone to trust....follow along and keep your fingers crossed for me :) read more

I've been going to Dr. Mashhoon since 1998. He's my dentist. I also see Natalie for my cleaning. Jennifer handles the billing and has also been there the longest. The other girls come and go. They're not the best with calling you with insurance prior-authorizations. So, if you need something done, you have to be the one to call them to check the status of things. read more

I've had a decent experience at Oakridge. I've had all my regular cleanings here for about 4 years, and some minor work done, one or two fillings replaced, one or two new ones. It took them a few tries to get me numb, in spite of my warnings that I'm difficult to numb. One of the fillings they did fell out; they replaced it on short notice for free. Contrary to the other reviews, I've only ever been seen by one doctor, Dr. Olga (?). She's very good. However, the hygienists need help - my doctor has told them to re-do things on several occasions. My biggest beef with them has nothing to do with dentistry (thank goodness), but just how their office runs. The filing system is on the back wall at reception, for all to see...looks pretty cluttered. Seems like the receptionists are there to surf the internet and chat with each other. They pay no more attention to the people than they have to, in person or on the phone. Not that it makes a difference, but I think they're all related somehow... Appointments are constantly being rescheduled, sometimes weeks in advance I'm sure, but then they won't call me until it comes up on the radar 24-48 hrs in advance. By that time it's another 2-4 weeks before I can get another appointment. Anyways, overall a good experience...but their support staff definitely has room to improve. read more

I and my wife both were using them for more than 12 years, however this year I was not able to schedule a secession with them! the first incident was that I have been scheduled to do a crown done in January of this year. I went there at the time that I was scheduled and I saw that they were closed and there was a note on the door that they have to reschedule due to some office plumbing issue! this is understandable emergency building repairs happen but the fact that nobody called me earlier to tell me that was extremely unprofessional. I shouldn't have had to physically go there to find out. the worst thing is, nobody called to reschedule! the second incident was last week. that I had a cleaning appointment that was scheduled over 6 months ago! the day before they called me and told me it was cancelled because they could not verify my insurance! I gave them my info and they rescheduled for another week. the story repeated! again a day before my reschedule, they called me and asked me about my insurance! I gave them the info again but when they asked me about reschedule again, I told them do not bother! read more

Mad Scientist dentist. Very nice and kind people but they will do anything to get money from you. They even went behind my back and x-rayed my child without my permission. They waited until I left the area and then did x-rays, after already having gone to a specialist and had a full mouth and jaw x-ray. Then the dentist cut into my daughters gums, then stitched it up and she left crying (teenager). He was looking for her tooth that never descended...WOW!!!!! He does not speak clearly so I thought he was doing a necessary procedure but it turned out he had no reason to be doing this...it wasn't his job. Our new dentist said he was nuts. Her 3d xrays show exactly were her tooth is and there is no need to cut her mouth or gums up. Plus, the orthodontist is only there once a month so why at all? read more

I have been going there off and on for about 9 years, I nor my wife will go back !! They have become way to expensive, The cleaning are very poor an incomplete. I came her as a new patient and this office is really unorganized in the reception area a nice lady I recall by the name of yadera asked me if I was the new patient and she gave me the new patients forms so I filled them out as I sat there the office seemed dirty...I gave her the new patients forms and she told me she they would be right with me she was really nice the rest of the girls didn't say anything which I though was rude for being a new pwtient...as I sat it the room a hygienist took my x-rays then after my cleaning the Dr did and exam as I walked out a different lady presented my treatment and my name was misspelled and the cost was wrong the patient portion on the paper was wrong but she put a note saying it was something different I didn't ask why overall I will not be coming here it seems fishy! read more

We had this dental office for a number of years. Recently I had an emergency and need dental care only to find out that they drop my dental insurance provider. They did not tell me that when I made the appointment. They did take Xrays of my problem tooth but could not give me care and told me that they would refer me to a specialist. All this took over 2.5 hours. The dentist that examined by tooth said that they would honor my insurance but they did not do root canals any long and they would refer me to a specialist and they would send my Xray to them. I got an an appointment the next day with the referred dentist. Come to find out the dentist that was referred were not a specialist either? And you guessed it, they did not send my Xrays to the referral dentist. The second dentist referred me to a third dentist which was suppose to be a specialist. Hopefully I will get dental care eventually. read more
