From the outside it looks like a second hand store, but it isn't. Go inside and you will see it. The ground floor is clothes, the in-between-floor is accesoires like heads, bags, etc and the first floor are shoes. The interior is just cool. And the people are really helpfull without being pushy. Mine was missing one of the ponytail set and my receipt shows I paid for two. The sales rep only out one. Didn't think about checking it as you just want to get out coz it was too crowded. I found out that the same thing happened that day to one of my Tourmates. Unfortunately by the time we noticed it, we were in our coach to our next destination. I was left to browse a bit and the customer who came in after me took up so much of the shop keeper's time with exactly the same type of query as mine that I had to excuse myself in order to come back when I had more time to wait. Perhaps the moral of that story is try not to let the shopkeeper out of your sight until you've truly found what you're looking for. This is especially true given that many of these glorious and somewhat delicate shades are out of reach and one would need the help of the shopkeeper just to have a better look at them. Matahari also stocks a selection of hard-to-find bulbs of glorious golden hues, shapes and sizes. That fact in and of itself is makes a trip to Matahari worthwhile. The above category of 'Home Decor' is a misnomer. This place is all about lamps and lamp accoutrements and nothing else.

Now you can get to the NY-ish 5th ave stuff. All the designers you've ever heard of but can't afford. Banks to open your secret account. With compounded interest you can come back in 30 years and buy a handbag. Now you seriously need to consult a map cause this place is huge. Tranes, planes, and automobiles run with precision, everything is clean & looks brand new. Definitely worth a visit.
