Marshall Medical Associates and their staff are a complete joke. The have dismissed my family for…read morerude behavior due to me questing Nina the billing clerk over in accurate charges. Furthermore, they are lacking when it comes to patient confidently. I over heard the office manager discussing private patient matters outside the room I was in, the Dr. came in to apologize and stated he was sorry I heard that. As soon as you build a relationship with one of their doctors, they leave to move on to better, more patient orientated location. They are over booked and understaffed. Good luck making and appointment, you have to make it at least 30 days in advance then wait for as long as 30 minutes on some occasions. I guess I owe them a THANK YOU for pushing me out, forcing me to find a more competent location to spend my money.

This morning (08/21/2019) I stopped in at Marshall medical Associates and was promptly greeted by a…read morevery unpleasant front desk worker. A "Can I Help you" was murmured as the sliding glass window was opened. I will not go into description about the worker for her own privacy purposes, but the short conversation with her was quite unpleasant. After having an appointment there within the week prior I was unaware that my follow up appointment was scheduled for a different building because the dermatologist only schedules out appointments in that building certain days. When I informed the front desk worker that I was here for my appointment 15 minutes early she promptly laughed at me for being in the wrong location, Nearly mocked me when I said I had an appointment there with in the last week, and was humored at the fact that I did not know that my doctor only rented out select days there. I was in quite shocked seeing that a small business like Marshall medical Associates is willing to hire someone with such poor customer service and they are still able to be a functioning business in today's society. I work two jobs in customer service at 21 years of age, and I have never felt so belittled by a professional business such as Marshall medical Associates. The icing on the cake is when they close the sliding glass window in front of your face and proceeded to laugh at you with the other desk worker. This should be no example for your children, for your family, or yourself in the customer service realm, especially at a place that already makes you uncomfortable to be at due to your body's impurity's. I hope that anything going on in her life that causes her to treat guests with such a lack of empathy is resolved. As for the actual Battle Creek dermatology and skin center that I'm sitting in currently, the staff that they have renting out space at that Marshall Location is very friendly and a good example of professional, prompt, and proper service.

The third time, the PA scolded me and said I should never come to a walk-in clinic for the same illness more than once. She said if it warrants a second visit I should go to my regular physician, whom I was unable to get into for 2 weeks. I have full and backup insurance, so it wasn't about money. But I really did not appreciate the lecture, or poor care the third visit. If it's a real thing that you can't go to a walk-in clinic more than once on the same issue, I'd like to know that rule, and the reasoning behind it. Especially when my regular physician is not available in a reasonable time for the illness. I've been going to this clinic for years, even before it became owned by Oaklawn Hospital. I've always had great care until this lecture.

We have always used Oaklawn Hospital for…read moreall of our medical needs - PCP, Specialist, Surgery, Lab, Radiology, etc. My husband was born there as were my three children. We have always raved about the exceptional care we have received. Things changed last night. It was our town festival and my 7-year daughter fell while playing tag with her brother. She kicked a patio block where it and our driveway meet. Due to the severity and amount of blood, I asked one of the paramedics to come look at it. He called over a nurse. They both agreed that we should take her in to have it check out and at the very least have it cleaned out because there was debris under the skin flap. They told us that Eaton Rapids would probably be able to get us in and out quickest. However, being loyal to Oaklawn, we packed up our daughter and took the ER there. This was a terrible decision on our part. Registration was respectful, the nurses were kind and caring, however Dr. Yetman was the most unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude doctor we have ever encountered. He chose to chastise and belittle my husband the entire 5 minutes he was in her joint room. To make matters worse, he barely looked at her toe and only wiped around it with wet mesh gauze for a few seconds. A band aide was applied and off we were sent. I'm not even sure if he looked at her x-rays, but he spent less than 30 seconds observing her toe. A toe that a paramedic and nurse thought should be looked at by a doctor. To say that we are disappointed in the care we received would be an understatement. We will never bring our children to Oaklawn again. This story will be shared far and wide, so other families do not have to endure what we went through and to receive inadequate care for our child. Dr. Yetman should be ashamed of his actions and the hospital should be embarrassed that he is an employee there.I wish I could give this zero starts, but a 1 will have to do.

The Nurse was so rough putting in the IV blood was just everywhere running down her hand and all over the bed from her being so incompetent. We had to ask for water and ice through the entire delivery. No one explained anything to her, Treated us like we were a bother. After the delivery, they never brought anything for her to drink or eat the entire day. We had to ask over and over for anything as the nurses sat at the desk talking. They gave her Norco for pain without anything to eat and then she was throwing up non stop. I am so disappointed in the entire stay! Very rude, no compassion what so ever! We will never recommend Oaklawn to anyone!

They quickly eliminate you as a patient, and refuse to fill vital prescriptions, if you owe them money. I am currently out of work, desperately needed a refill on my blood pressure meds, and they refused me. I have a small balance...not even a large one, told them I would be able to make a payment in a couple weeks when I received my social security check. Their response was a "too bad, so sad" type of answer, I wil make the payment, but I will never doctor there again. I want a doctor who CARES about my health, and whether I have a Stroke or not, not one who just wants my money.

Warm, understanding, and immensely helpful. The providers could learn much from them! With that said, I'm also in the process of working through an open complaint with the patient advocate representative Amy to hopefully reductate and coach the provider I saw as to ensure they cause no future harm to other patients simply seeking mental health support. It's so disconcerting that I have been with Oaklawn for years and this happened to me. Despite the complaint process, I would be utterly remiss not sharing this, despite the outcome. I would not recommend Jennifer Wawzysko as a provider to patients who value collaborative care or who advocate for themselves. Despite the bio on Oaklawn's website stating that she prioritizes patient education and shared decision-making, my experience did not reflect that. During my visit, the appointment lasted approximately 3-4 minutes. I was interrupted repeatedly and not given the opportunity to fully explain my concerns. No questions were asked about my health history, background, or personal context. A diagnosis was given that I had not sought help for, and I was not consulted or informed about the reasoning behind it. I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and mischaracterized. This experience was especially concerning given the nature of mental health and specialty care, where understanding the patient's perspective is crucial. I hope Oaklawn will consider feedback like this when evaluating the quality of care provided
