I've had an amazing experience at Oakland university for both my undergrad and graduate degrees! I have met so many people and have made many memories! I would recommend Oakland University to any student looking for a university to go to!

Parking, parking, parking.. what are we going to do about you? Now, students at OU should be lucky that we don't have to pay for parking like students at Wayne, but at this rate we might as well pay for it being as it's atrocious. They raise tuition every year so why not take some of our tuition money and put it into parking and not into the six figure salaries of the higher up board members.

Wild blue poke bowl and ramen noodle from Oakland university are the best I ever had.

This review is not for the fine education OU offers but for the disgraceful lack of parking for students. It seems that lining the pockets of those bigwigs was more important than to build adequate parking for the lovely ladies and the one gentleman (myself) that attend OU.

New Engineering Building

Been here a couple of times to attend or deliver a lecture on technical topics. The new Engineering building is quite nice, very spartan (pun intended) and utilitarian in nature. A decent university located in the Oakland County area, recently they added a med school as well. Surrounded by lots of suburban items and growing tech area, plus Chrysler HQ in nearby Auburn Hills.

Great university! Son fell in love with quaint place where he can still stay at home (yay!). Lakes, hammocks, and 20 min drive.

Produces good writers and educated people. Great experience. I had fun there and learned quite a bit. I hire OU grads frequently.

Five stars for their massage program! Super secret insider tip: I used to get FREE, tipping is…read morenot allowed, massages TWICE a week for TWO or THREE years!!!!! Sometimes if you were really blessed the appointment after you would cancel and you could get massages back to back. It was truly amazing and it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it!!!!!!!!! However, about a year ago, they discontinued this service. I was not even a student, just a random Joe schmo....an eternally grateful one that is. I'm just sayin' you might want to call the clinic and inquire. It's better than good....I would seriously drive from Milford, in a Blizzard to get there, that's how good! 20 stars, if that were possible. I rate the massage program a freaking Hailey's comet! They also were offering free yoga, but often times the instructor failed to show. This was not affiliated with the massage program. Also, people with no health insurance. PLEASE visit their dental program for teeth cleaning as low as 10 bucks. They also offer other services such as xrays and repairs. Just beware it takes forever...but for that price. As a social worker, I have referred hundreds! 5 star for the in need population. My opinion on the education is 1 star. Students teaching students, and not graduate students? Open book exams? Teacher gives you the questions/answers prior to tests? I guess it's like pay for your diploma just go through minimal actions. AND it is expensive. AND many of their credits do not transfer.

Just paid $2000 for a class. The teacher cut the class early every week by hours, assigned no…read morereadings, provided no examples for assignments, provided no online notes or references, and during the class instead of talking about English would always talk about how upset she was with the election, and would tie every argumentative assignment paper to anti government in one way or the other. I immediately reported to the colleges English Director who said they would look into the issue, the teacher returned the following week saying she had a rough week and no lesson planned. This school is an expensive joke. OCC would be a better recommendation.
