Each room has a theme - the jungle, the sea, the Far East, and "Grandma's Room." I recommend picking out your room once you arrive, as they vary in many ways. The new owners are a sweet, personable Midwestern couple. They recently installed satellite TV and Wi-Fi in all the rooms, and provide free (ice cold) bottled water for guests. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for some relaxation time in this part of the state.

It was brown. It belonged in the trash. There was a hole in the ceiling above the shower. We paid for insurance when booking online and we were so glad we did. Unfortunately, I need to disagree with her 4-star review and here is why. * There is no ubiquitous blue "Rest Area" sign and that is very unusual. * There is no parking lot! You just pull over on some grass and that is extremely atypical and very unusual again. * There are no restrooms, not even those awful portable nightmares! Who ever heard of a rest area with no restroom! Pro Tip- If you use your GPS, the location is a couple of hundred yards off. If asked Yelp to fix it but that could take a while! Sooooo, what's going on? Without the blue "Rest Area" sign I think this is a project in progress that has been delayed. No sign, no parking lot and no restrooms is crazy. So, until they complete it, I'm going at most two-stars! BTW- There is a nest of fast-food joints two minutes up the road and your bathroom needs can be met there.
