This review is based on my experience and views: I will never again use their services and I cannot recommend them to anyone and would not use them even if they were the last place on earth who offer the services they offer. My pet was boarded by them for 8 days and then treated for lethargy and dehydration less than 24 hrs after being picked up (treated by a vet ER due to them being closed and not answering their phone) after being boarded with them for 8 days. 5 days after I picked my precious fur baby up she passed away. Prior to dropping off my fur baby she was healthy and active, the evening I picked her up she barely moved and I was worried sick. I asked for their management to call me after my fur baby passed away and all they could do was refer me to their insurance company and never heard from them again. I have spent almost 2 months dealing with their insurance company only to have my claim and appeals denied! I wish I had recorded every phone conversation with them from booking and wished I had videoed the drop off and me giving instructions and pickup. I never thought they would treat me in this manner and I am still in shock. I will never trust them with another fur baby and I will urge my friends and family and acquaintances of my experience with them. When I picked up my fur-baby, there was a mysterious syringe with medicine reside in it. They denied giving my baby any medication and said it must've been sent with my baby, however the plastic bin with toys and belongings that was dropped off and was new. I would love to have it finger printed and tested to find out who had touched it, did they give my baby medicine and then deny it to me or were there staff sloppy and gave medical syringes with creamy liquid laying around and drop in someone's belongings, I will never know. This entire piece is my own opinion and based upon my personal experience with this business. Their brochure stated requirements and all kinds of wording, but they didn't adhere to their own policies, and it was told to me by their insurance company that they didn't adhere to their own safe guards and documented rules and policies in order to be accommodating to me,!!!! I would rather have been denied boarding,and had I known that my pet would be dehydrated (per the different pet ER that treated my fur baby less than 24 hrs after picking her up from them) I would have canceled my vacation plans, so this experience makes me question them and their ability to follow instructions (upon drop off I gave the attending employee who admitted and accepted my fur baby,they admitted they were new , I left with them my pets water fountain that I explicitly told and left instructions that my baby only drank from her water fountain and being previously told upon booking that they had plugs near the cages and it was perfect to bring her water fountain that I made clear upon booking and drop off that my baby only drank from her water fountain ! so imagine my surprise and shock and disbelief upon pickup that the attending employee told me they didn't use it , that they were afraid she would bite the cord, I know I'm not the only one who has power cords in their house around animals , all of this and the experience I had left me shocked and changed my view and opinion of this place of business. If they had done the right thing my view of them would be different. In the end their insurance company offered me $1'000.00 and wanted me to sign forms and agree to not speak publicly, post comments or write reviews. My baby and her memory are worth more to me than $1000.00 and buying me off, so they can hide this experience and their admitted disregard adherence to their own company policies..which the insurance company confirmed they ignored policy to be accommodating. Without hesitation I recommend Oak Pointe Veterinary Care, grooming and boarding. We are always greeted by friendly, professional staff who care about the patients by making them feel as comfortable as possible, knowing how stressful a visit to the doctor can be for them. Our experience with Dr. Morrison has always been positive.The treatment plans offered for veterinary services are an affordable way to take advantage of recommended services such as dental cleaning. Our fur baby recently had her first cleaning and the results ( and savings thanks to the monthly plan) were incredible! She even received her first toothbrush and doggy toothpaste! The follow-up care is outstanding. We received phone calls checking on our pet's condition post-procedure, encouraging us to contact the office with any questions or concerns. In addition to health care services, we have also utilized the boarding and grooming services several times and have been extremely pleased with the excellent care received. read more

"The care that the staff provides is amazing: both the care they provide to my cat as well as to me! They are all extremely personable and knowledgeable. I also appreciate the flexibility and benefits of the PAW Plan. It was a key factor in my decision to choose Oak Pointe. It helps me budget to provide the care my cat needs at a cost I can afford. I also LOVE that the office has Feline Fridays. My cat was an abandoned shelter cat, so he's very skittish. LOVE LOVE LOVE it here!!! Dr. Brothers and Dr. Covey are awesome! They truly care for their patients and about the treatments they provide. The office is clean, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the doctors are FANTASTIC. I've lived in a dozen different cities with my animals and I have never been more satisfied with my veterinary care! In fact, I make a two hour round trip to Dover to take my baby to Oak Pointe because the care and competence are beyond reproach!! read more

"I called in to find out if I could get my dog's nails trimmed. They said I could and even said I could come down that same day if I had the time. I did and they took care of me and my dog quickly and courteously. I called Oak Pointe because they were close to home and I hadn't been using them as my normal vet, but because of this positive experience and some negative experiences at my normal vet, I am considering switching all of my dog's care to Oak Pointe!" read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Brothers and his amazing staff. He and Whitney were so caring toward my ferret Harley and myself when the painful time came to put him down. They took the time to explain things to me, even calling to answer my questions after office hours! The aftercare is nice too, they truly care about you and your pet. I have been with Oak Pointe Vet for over 10 years and have always been very happy with the service and the care my animals receive there. I completely trust Dr Covy & the staff to do what is best for my pets. They know my animals and work around my older dog's quirks and anxieties which, as a pet mom I greatly appreciate. The staff at Oak Pointe are great! Our Golden Retriever has had an ongoing problem with her knee and they got to the bottom of the problem and have done the necessary surgery to restore her back to a puppy again. Grooming: We have been taking our dogs to Lorie at Oak Pointe Grooming for years. She always does a wonderful job and is very professional about her business. I love oak Point Veterinary Care. The Vets are so good to my Kubi. They also have Boarding and grooming. I like the fact that I can leave Kubi in tjheir care, while I go away, from home. If he would get sick they know his history and can treat him. Also have him groomed and ready to go home, when I return home. The whole staff members excellent. read more
