Gentle river and cool…read morebreezes Riverbreeze Park is well named because no matter how hot it gets around here a cool breeze always seems to be flowing off the water. The park is 37 acres with 5 acres right on the water and the rest of the park is within a stone's throw of the river. The park has a great boat ramp that allows access to the river and cool paths that that circle around the park for some easy hiking. A huge boardwalk extends out into the river and offers some great fishing or bird watching opportunities. The park is open 24 hours and has some of the cleanest bathrooms I have even seen in a public place. The entire area was appreciated by the native americans for centuries and lots of artifacts and huge mounds of clams, oysters and other shellfish are still being discovered. The park is definitely a cool and relaxing place to sit, walk, fish or just become one with the flow of the river.

This couple took over an hour and half last night to set my family up with the PROPER gear! Bass Pro did not and truly set us up for failure. E&j ( the owners ) stayed over an hour past closing time to reload 4 reels with the proper line) and educate my kids on knot techniques, how to load hooks, fish in general and operate the reel! The selection of merchandise and quality of the gear is amazing. You can buy bait from anyone--Why? Support those that enrich our economy and treat all that visit them with respect and trueness. This family gave mine attention, education, and respect. For that, they have earned ours in return. Please visit them, give them one opportunity to win your business. Buy your gear, tackle, pole or next reel. The prices are very competitive but most uplifting feature--they come with unlimited educational sessions and if by chance you mess it up--pop it in the back of you vehicle and go say hello....I bet they can help fix it---try that anywhere else. They don't have a pool but it's only like 25 min to the beach! It's by a highway so kind of noisy but that doesn't bother us. The only complaint I have which is not in anyone's control is the ants were terrible.. hills in grass all over got our hands bit up putting out and picking up all the hoses and sewer.. lol we actually bought some ant killer but they just moved homes! I would hope when camper leave maybe they could spray or lay pellets! Other than that we enjoyed staying and would definitely come back.

Unfortunately, with its location, it also sounds like it's inside the Speedway! You will need earplugs or a noise machine to sleep. There is constant road noise day and night. Unless your tv or air conditioner is running nonstop you will hear it. This RV park offers 102ish campsites. I shouldn't refer to them though as campsites but more like parking spaces with full hookups. That's really what they are. No outdoor fires or appliances here. That's what the brochure says but I see grills here and there....maybe they mean refrigerators? ‍idk Most of the staff here that we encountered were friendly. The nighttime security guy was especially courteous. They have a very nice laundry facility. There are 6 washers and 6 dryers and they were each a $1.50 a load. It was very clean and they even provided an iron, ironing board and hanger rack for your hang up clothes. There were books and magazines to read or you could watch tv. Best of all though was the washers and dryers had timers on them so you could just set your timer on your and go home and comeback when your wash was finished! They have public restrooms and showers here but I don't know why they bother. There are a LOT of nice rigs here and I'm sure no one is using the public rooms. I guess if yours isn't working though it's a plus. Pets-They have two small greenspaces for you to walk your dog. When I say small I mean tiny. They are pet friendly here but barely. The amenities as listed on the campsite flyer are as follows: *Clean bathroom and showers *Laundry *City Water *Propane *Rv Supplies *Paved roads *Walking distance to flea market *Spacious, shady, quiet lots (every word here is a lie. None of these statements are true at all) *All lots full hookups *RV Dump Station (why? See the above asterisked item? Side money from boondockers? Idk) I really don't have much to say about this place. It's a parking lot for RVs. I'm so glad we only stayed here for 2 nights. I got my laundry done. :)

I found this beautiful little park while driving along the river east of Oak Hill, when I say small…read moreI mean small, the entire park is on the east side of the road on a very narrow strip of land. There are a number of parking spaces that barely allows the back of your vehicle to clear the traffic and once you exit you're only a few feet from the water's edge. There are a few benches next to the shore line and a small covered pavilion with a few picnic tables providing some shelter from the weather. Fortunately I meet a new friend (Steve) who seems to come here often just to relax and enjoy the view and occasionally wet a line - he did tell me it's fairly easy to snag a few fish using live bait which he catches with his cast-net. This is definitely a place I plan to return and probably a great place to get in my daily steps. Note - There are no restrooms or fresh water, it's very primitive but a real gem...
