This cemetery sits directly on SH 95 just 2 miles outside of Smithville. It is very well laid out and orderly complete with paved roads and street signs because it is that large. There are several entry points at the front and rear of the property. It is well taken care of and manicured. It is a very large piece of property with thousands of markers. The majority of the names on the markers are of German or Czech origin. Towards the back of the cemetery, you'll find the older headstones that date back to the 1800's. This is still an active cemetery with some recent interments. If you're a Smithville resident it'll cost you $1000 and nonresidents are $2000 each to make this your forever home.
