If I can give this place zero stars, I would. They canceled 3 appointments within 30 days with me and I had a tooth infection(2/21/26, 3/6/26 & 3/21/26.) I would get cancelations 15 mins to less than 24 hrs before the appts, but if I canceled less than 48hrs, they would hit me with the $50 fee. No sooner reschedule like for example on 2/21 cancelation, I could of been seen during the week or on 2/28 since the dental surgeon canceled the appointments for car issues but instead was scheduled on 3/7 because the dental surgeon only sees pts every other Sat. The day I was suppose to get my tooth extracted on 3/21/26, I found another dentist who got the job done because knowing my luck, Oak Forest Complete would of canceled 3/28/26 appt. Also, they told me I didn't need periodontal cleanings like my last the 2 dental office and now the new dental office I am going to now are doing! I have never seen this level of disorganization and unprofessionalism for a dentist office in my life. I even tried to call to cancel my appt the last few days, the voicemail was full, kept getting hung up on or being on hold for over 10 mins. I will never go back!!! There are plenty other dental offices along 159th St and within the Oak Forest, Tinley Park and Orland Park area to choose from. read more

I've been going to this dental location for years. Since name change and staff changes. This place has really declined. Bad communication, they cancel appointments. I received a call a day before my scheduled appointemnt about invalid insurance- which they had wrong on their end. I called to communicate and day of the appointment- I called just to make sure everything was ok. now they say they need to redo the approval process with insurance- which I understand. BUT if I didn't call to ask, I wouldve drove an hour there only to find out they wouldn't even service me. The communication is so bad. please create better systems. read more

I had a biopsy there in March. They neglected to have me sign permission for the lab to run the sample, but let me show up for appointment to find out results that they didn't have. No apology, just excuses. I called and left messages at least a dozen times over the next few weeks, never got a return call. Had to physically go there 3 times just to talk to someone. Again, nothing but excuses. I got a bill from the lab so called them directly. They said the dentist had the results. The nice woman at the lab actually mailed the report to me and I got it before hearing from Oak Forest Complete Shite Dental. Went in with the lab bill, was told they didn't have anything. 13 (THIRTEEN!) weeks later, the dentist himself called me because he noticed no one in the office had given me the results. Said he reamed out the staff for their incompetence, but I'm not going back there. I have the report, and will take it to a new dentist. read more

I am happy with my perfect smiles on 129th. Lagrange but they sent me over to Perfect Smiles in Oak Forest due to their hygienist was not available that day. I only came for a cleaning and your facility did a full set of x-rays on me without ever checking my insurance for eligibility. You told me my gums were so bad I needed a deep cleaning and you didn't have time to clean my teeth that day. My insurance ran out that day. So I left your office with a bill that my insurance would not pay. I got a bill for $263.00 and I never got my teeth cleaned. Sounds to me like you only care about money. read more

Incompetence. Went to this dentist for three years regularly until the front office staff forgot how to do their jobs correctly. Started out great but then sooner or later lost appointments started creeping in, and they started incorrectly filing claims with our insurance company and expected us to fix their mistakes. My wife needed infection injections, which they botched as switching to a new dentist they need to do a full root canal. Dr Halikias is also a pusher.. Kept pushing me to get $7000 Invisalign which no other dentist recommended. Stay away if you don't want to hassle with a bunch of nonsense. read more

Business office is highly incompetent. Received a bill from over 2 years ago. The excuse was "we keptbilling the insurance." Why on earth would your continuously bill an insurance company for TWO YEARS??!!! That makes absolutely no sense! I could of used my flex account money or paid out pocket and gotten reimbursed if it was covered. Perfect Smile Oak Forest is the worst charged me $80.00 to look at two front teeth and tell me bonding was $735.00 for two teeth, make a follow up appt. To have work done at 9:30am and tell me i don't have an appointment when they scheduled me a week ago October 27, 2020 they won't reimburse my 5 minute consultation and don't have an appointment for another week. They never put my appointment in the computer, not helpful or accommodating, wish I would of read the reviews. Letting my credit card company figure this out, don't go there unless you want to be aggregated with immature help and a dentist who trys to upsell you on $2400 each for veneers for two teeth that wouldn't match my other teeth. This is the worst dentist practice I have ever been to. After spending thousands of dollars on Invisalign my teeth are still not right. I cannot chew food well anymore because my molar teeth do not come together as they once did. My bottom teeth are still crooked, and I am forever bighting my lower lip because one tooth sticks out to far. Also, I was told I would be in the trays for approximately 8 to 10 months depending on how my teeth moved. So, 26 months later my teeth were and still are not to my satisfaction. My teeth were not that bad to begin with. On top of that, after all that money spent on Invisalign and the time it took, this dentist wanted to do 10 veneers on my top teeth at the cost of approximately $2,400 a tooth. Really!!!!! As for the personnel at this practice, the head dentist is too rough, she almost chocked me taking top impressions. A big glob of the molding material fell in the back of my throat chocking me, while she was holding the mold in place in my mouth telling me to hang on for one more minute. Seriously!!!! I literally had to push her off me, rip the mold out of my mouth and cough up the glob of material in my throat. Her response to me was "you really have strong survival skills". I didn't know I needed survival skills or would be in any danger at the dentist's office. That was horrifying!!! As for the office manager, he could not manage his way out of an open box and the front desk clerk is incompetent. Just one example of many, to how bad this office is run, I sat in their waiting room for well over an hour just for them to tell me the dentist was running behind and they would need to reschedule my appointment. No concern for the inconvenience to me for waiting there so long and the fact that I left my job early to keep this appointment. I could go on and on, but I don't really want to spend any more time on Perfect Smiles. Truly they don't even deserve the one star given but I really want people to know just how unprofessional this office is!!!!! I have since started going to another dentist and am very pleased with this new practice. At some point I will have my new dentist correct the mess that "Perfect Smiles" in Mokena created. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Absolute incompetence and just trying to make money off their patients. I went for a root canal three years ago, went back two weeks later to find that the tooth next to it needed a root canal too. Ok fine, just bad luck. Six months later I find that the root canal was done incorrectly ONLY TO BE RETREATED FIVE TIMES before the endodontist decided to stop experimenting and let me decide to have it pulled. She never got it right, AND I paid for the retreatment that never worked. On top of that, I get scheduled for the oral surgeon to pull the tooth AND THEY NEVER INFORMED ME THAT THE DENTIST IS OUT OF NETWORK. After waiting a month after scheduling an appointment due to the dentist's busy schedule, I get a confirmation call the day before, notifying me that I will need to pay +$1,600 upfront since he's out of network. I tell them I want to do my homework and find a new dentist that's in-network and all I got was attitude. They actually tried to convince me that's it's just $1,600 and they'll probably adjust and give me some back after the claim was filed. Well, I found a NEW in-network dentist, and ended up paying close to nothing. They tried to screw me into paying over $1,600 for something I could get covered through someone else. Now I'm finally complaining about this hell hole after this three year stint because I finally went to a new dentist. The cleaning at this new place was absolutely fantastic - high end equipment, great staff and a very nice dentist. After x-rays, they find that THE OTHER ROOT CANAL was done WRONG and needs retreated as well. Says it never got done correctly and now I have to pay for another retreatment because the endodontist at Perfect Smiles did such poor work to begin with. Overall terribly place, from the top down. I have never had a positive experience at the Dentist until I flew into Chicago and decided to get my teeth cleaned. After Jenni cleaned my teeth Dr. Lena Halikias came in to have a look. I have had a cap on my front tooth for 44years that I have always hated. After speaking with her I decided to let her help me feel better about myself ! You see, as a child I was bullied and to this point refused to smile for pictures! I came back the next day and she removed my old cap and worked to make me a new one! I'm speechless!! I had 2 appointments for my children at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm. I arrived at 6:15 pm and was told I would need to reschedule my appointments because the dentist is leaving. Not 1 child, but both children!!! Even the child scheduled at 6:30 pm. 2 weeks prior, 2 of my older children had appointments for cleaning at 6:00 pm. Because they are a little older I let them go back to be serviced without me. My kids were done with their cleanings in 10 min!! How do you possibly do a full cleaning in 10 min for 2 children. Once again the dentist (Dr. Murphy) wants to rush out and gives his patients subpar service. On another note, the Orthodontist on site is the best, but this guy is very disappointing. read more

Stay away from this dentist.....I repeat this dentist is horrible. I went there for routine services only to be talked into having my silver cavities replaced with the white resin composite. Worse thing ever......because now I need not 1 but 2 root canals on those teeth because the cavity was deeper then they thought. Wasted tons of money at this place and they shrug their shoulder like nothing is their problem. I was recommended to this place by a friend. My daughter was in need of some work. The first visit they removed a tooth and popped her abscess escape ball that was on her gum. The second visit (to put a place holder on now vacant tooth spot), my daughter showed some resistance to letting the dentist work on her and the dentist didn't give it much of a go, said she didn't want to traumatize her, and instead they just refereed us out to a pediatric dentist. Considering this is the 4th dentist I have been to trying to resolve the problem, and that my friend had such a good experience and that now I have to try yet again, somewhere else. (The other places just said no we don't do removals of children's teeth here.) I am pretty disappointed in the fact we drove all the way from the city to be told no after normal child squirming. So if you have a child, and you want the work done for certain, maybe don't go here. read more

I took my 10 yr old son here for a routine cleaning and exam. When they called him back I stood up and started walking with him to the back. The hygienist told me I could stay in the waiting room while they did his x-rays and they would call me back when they were done with that. I was hesitant about this because obviously he is a minor and I felt I should be in the room. Since they were only supposed to do x-rays I said ok. 20 minutes later he walked out with the dentist! Even though they weren't supposed to go further with the treatment without me being in the room. To my horror she started explaining to me his treatment and that he had a cavity and what he would need done to not only me but a room full of patients in the waiting room! I was mortified! It was so unprofessional and against HIPPA (The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) protocols. You never discuss private patient information with other people in the room. She should've called me to the back like they said they were going to do. Don't go here unless you like your private information being told to a room full of people. read more
