My second session I had an awesome PT but my life changed after my third session. I had Shannon and I only schedule with Shannon. She's only 5' but has the strength of someone 7'. I had been suffering with intense pain from piriformis syndrome that prevented me from sleeping or standing for prolonged periods of time without pain meds. After my 5th session of PT, I no longer need pain meds and I sleep like a baby. My PT sessions include Shannon doing a deep tissue elbow message on my piriformis muscle, various stretching exercises, manually move my limbs and educating me on what we are doing and why we are doing it. My range of motion has increased and I don't have the excruciating pain that I did for months. Benchmark is wonderful but Shannon is the best!!

For me, she has been heaven sent. Dr. Lea Ann knows her craft, understands the body and cares about the well-being and progress of her patients. She is extremely personable, a great listener and her energy is contagious! She keeps a fun atmosphere in the facility. Throughout my visits, Dr. Lea Ann challenges me, corrects form, encourages my performance, celebrates my gains and also gives me exercises to complete at home. She is very hands-on and knows when my body needs a stretch, deep tissue massage or myofascial release - which can all be pretty uncomfortable but works miracles to relieve chronic pain! I've dealt with terrible low back pain for years and have had a number of minimally invasive procedures. Frankly, I presumed I would live with discomfort for the rest of my life, until now. I was also treated by Dr. Starr one day - she is also a superb physical therapist - very patient, passionate and instructive! I will also mention, I am highly motivated to improve my condition.
