I wanted to edit this review, because it made me sound like I reviewed while mad/upset…read more I have been working with this company for 5+ years, & I used to file single. Once I was married & we had complicated things to add, we made sure to go to Viet. I used to get to make an appointment with him in person & he answered any & all of my questions, before I filed. But sadly COVID hit & things changed to online. My husband & I have changed careers several times since 2022, & we had a baby, so there are several things to add into your taxes. This year, we spent over $15k in medical expenses, had our first child, & hoped we would get some kind of a tax refund. But unfortunately that didn't happen. When I asked about adding money to our IRAs, or why we didn't get to file itemized, or how else we can reduce our tax bracket, we were told it was a "paid question that required a paid appointment". Anyway, I think you can get your own taxes done for free or less than you're charged by this guy. He can't help you with basic questions without requiring money so... stay aware & ask questions!

I have never been treated in such an unkind by any Lafayette business in the 20 years I have lived here.

Got on the phone with Will and he was able to reassure me and answer all the questions that I had before we got to work. Will is super knowledgeable when it comes to filling taxes with cryptocurrencies and investments which is something that 99% of any other CPAs struggle with. Due to my limited availability, we ended up opting to just have will file my taxes online via email. After sending him all the paperwork necessary, Will said he'd work out my taxes the day after. Rest assured the next day came by, and before filling, Will sent me a couple of forms that needed to be signed, and my taxes were done! Will is hands-down the best and most honest and ethical CPA I've ever worked with, he always goes above and beyond to answer any questions as well as give any recommendations of any blind spots you might have. I was so lucky to have him work on my Taxes and will definitely work with him on any future fillings. If you need a CPA who's super knowledgeable on Tax codes, investments such as stocks and cryptocurrencies, as well as getting started on a small business or even recommendation on your current business, I cannot recommend Will enough. Will is always getting informed in new laws as Taxes change which is super important nowadays.

My…read morehusband and I had an initial consultation with Joel to discuss about filing our tax for 2018 (W2 jobs and Property rental). Joel was a warm and welcoming person when we met and we really liked him. I remember leaving his office that day and told my husband, I think we found ourselves a good CPA where we can go back each year and don't have to hop from one place to another when tax season approaches. However, we were promised that we'd hear back within a few days. Nothing. My husband called and was told our file was in a queue. Indeed we understand that it is tax season - the busiest of all for CPAs. But the quality of service is also as important. We did not hear back as promised and after calling their office 5-6 times, my husband got really tired so we decided to go there. When we arrived, Joel came out from his office and saw us (was on the phone), but went back inside. His colleague next door greeted us and went to Joel after he got off the phone. He told his colleague to tell us to leave a message. That was pretty rude. For the price range of $1000-$1500, we deserve better treatment than this. Perhaps Joel overbooked his clients and couldn't handle or $1500 did not worth his while? We'll take our business elsewhere and you should too!
