I contacted this company after reading positive Yelp reviews and scheduled an estimate. He came to…read moremy home, looked at both my front and back yard, agreed to take on the maintenance, and told me he would start the following Thursday. He also said he would call me on Wednesday with the arrival time. Unfortunately, I never received the promised phone call, and Thursday came and went with no communication and no one showed up. I reached out to ask what happened, but by then I had already been left waiting. Things happen, and schedules can change, but a simple phone call or text would have been the professional thing to do. Ghosting a new customer after committing to a job is disappointing and wasted my time. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company because reliability and communication are important qualities in any service business.

I have been a homeowner for thirty-eight years and have tried so many other lawn-care services,…read moreonly to go back to fertilization myself, but I always needed to hire someone to aerate the lawn. COVID put the person I always used in the past, so I searched for someone new. When Thomas came out, he listened to me and explained why I didn't need that service. He explained how each clump of blades is an individual plant, taking tens of thousands of plants to make up my yard. We even discussed where Bermuda grass was slowly taking over in one area of the yard. Because of his knowledge and how he explained things, I decided to give him a chance to do what he suggested. Power seed and fertilize, followed by a fertilization and soil treatment one month later. For the price, I thought if it worked, it was a good value, and if it didn't, I would find someone to aerate in the fall. I can not be happier. The Bermuda grass area has shrunk over ninety percent in three months. The lawn is thicker than I ever had it in the past, and I will admit greener than I would get, and I took pride in how green my grass stayed. The long stretch is what I call the dog run. My eighty-pound German Shepherd and I run up and back along this stretch of grass during two daily play sessions (morning and afternoon). The other photo is a patch of grass with minimal traffic unless we have a party with kids. Ginger is trained not to tinkle on any of the grass;) I say in closing, in a light-spirited manner, give Thomas a call because the grass is greener, thicker, and healthier on my side of the fence neighbor:).

Unfortunately, my experience with Lawn Doctor has been disappointing, primarily because of the lack…read moreof communication. I contacted them because my lawn was not improving and I wanted someone to follow up with me about the condition of the lawn and what should be done next. I spoke directly with Tom, who told me he would get back to me by Wednesday. Wednesday came and went, and I never heard back from him. After waiting and still receiving no follow-up, I submitted another request directly through the Lawn Doctor website hoping someone else would contact me. I still received no response. It has now been about a week since I was told I would hear back, and nothing. I understand that businesses get busy, but returning calls and following through when you tell a customer you will contact them should be a basic part of customer service, particularly when that customer is trying to address an ongoing problem. At this point, the lack of communication and follow-through has caused me to lose confidence in continuing with Lawn Doctor. I will be looking for another lawn care company that is more responsive and follows through with its customers.

So, we hired Ray's Landcare two years ago and our HOA board and residents are VERY SATISFIED. Ray's immediately went to work getting things back in order. In just a couple of months the difference was so remarkable many of our residents made positive comments about the improvement to the property. Ray's also worked with our budget to set up a tree maintenance program for our 118 trees and they have done a terrific job.
