I really wanted to like this place. It looked promising but unfortunately, this is probably one of…read morethe worst meals I've had in my life. We came on Sunday night and I guess it's a red flag when it's not busy at all. We ordered a French onion soup and escargot to start. The escargot was small and too cheesy imo. The French onion soup basically and no flavor and I think using a canned beef stock would've tasted better. For our main courses, we ordered a a lasagne, which oddly have bacon on top. It is decent but portion size was small. We also ordered pasta with meat sauce which didn't have enough sauce for the amount of pasta that was given. The sauce wasn't very flavorful and a tad too sour for my liking. Lastly, we ordered 2 pizzas (1 Margarita and 1 Hawaiian). The pizzas were very interesting. It came in a square with an extremely crispy crust, almost like a pita chip crunchy. There was very little to almost no sauce and the cheese was harden by the time it was brought to our table which made it extremely dry. Our server was very friendly which earned the 1 star for this review. But in terms of food, i would give 0 stars if i can. This is a place i would avoid for sure.

The menu offers breakfast and lunch options. We shared a 14" house special which was an all-dressed with added bacon and olives. The pizza was delish!! Plenty of toppings and cheese, piping hot and we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

The food is ok (relative to food expectations in the area) and the staff were quite nice. I had…read moretheir table hote menu: - Soup of the day: chicken consommé based soup. Not enough flavour but edible. - Linguini w Crab and garlic: linguini was fine, the garlic sauce was solid, but the crab was mysteriously flavourless. Large portion - so had leftovers that eventually got eaten. - coffee: fine. My daughter had a kids meal. The lasagna she had looked like a disaster coming in - but my daughter ate 75% of it without complaint. Her ice cream was pretty disgusting so she passed on that (we went to an ice cream parlour nearby instead). Ste-Agathe is a beautiful place and I have fond memories of the area (my mother grew up there). However, this is not a foodie destination - which is ok. This restaurant is representative of that (I.e., it is not a local outlier in either direction). In Montreal, this place would never survive though. It might not survive in Laval.

The chicken parmigiana was thin with a nice breading and a generous portion of pasta. Excellent service made it even better. I would go back for the food although I thought the prices were higher than most other places.

The crust is on the thin side but it was soft and fluffy. It seemed locally made. The toppings were good. We have paid more for a smaller pizza that seemed to have a store bought, reheated crust at one of the other more fancy restaurants on the main. This definitely hit the spot as we were getting tired of eating out. We just wanted something simple but still good in the comfort of our hotel room.

We tried the New York Pepperoni and the Texanne. Highly recommend the Texanne! It was tasty.read more
