While in Viseu we enjoyed both lunch and dinner - three different times- at a local hidden gem in the heart of Viseu - O Pateo. It's located on a little side street on the Rua Direita. We ordered too much delicious food to list it all and were too stuffed for dessert. They make the most delicious sangrias and their starters are amazing. Their servers are attentive and so friendly. They have an indoor and outdoor dining areas for all size parties. It feels intimate even with all the guests. I will let the pics speak for themselves. If you're ever Viseu this place is a must visit. I will definitely be back. read more

This is a hidden tiny rustic restaurant located on a side street in the historical section of the city that serves traditional Portuguese cuisine.
