It is sort of a cafeteria concept, with a nicer dining area upstairs. They did not have tons of variety of fish, but the salmon and tuna were both fresh and tasty, service was good and fast, and made for a delicious first meal of the excursion. One more way that France has taken a page out of our American playbook is the added convenience of having your sushi delivered. I saw as much food being delivered to hungry Lyonnaise as I did served in the restaurant.

I was excited to try this place, as I had read the chain was owned by the famous chef Joel…read moreRobuchon. But when I arrived there, I was a little disappointed to see that Sushi was not made to order, rather it was premade Sushi sitting in the refridgerated boxes, where you pay first and then sit down with the boxes and eat it at the tables. That being said, the sushi was quite OK to eat, and I have no complaints about the taste of the sushi except maybe the rice was a little bit cold. Sushi Shop would probably be an excellent choice to order delivery, but not for a serious sushi craving or a date.

A few other sushi restaurants nearby. The service was quick and friendly. The menu was easy to understand. I liked how my sushi came in a boat -- a first for me. The sushi tasted good -- an 8 on a scar of 1 to 10. It was just what I was looking to eat for my last evening in France.

(Last visited 11/9/2021.) Working in Lyon for a couple of weeks and it's time to eat, but I've had…read morea bit of French food so far so I wanted something different. So my co-worker found this place and it's a Korean BBQ style restaurant and I love those! I was so excited to show him how thing work at this style of restaurant so here goes! Atmosphere/Appearance: So right downtown Lyon located off of the main square is this gem. It's brightly lit so you can clearly see what's going on in there. The décor is pretty chill, but I loved how each vent hood was lit up with a different color. I thought that was an excellent touch. All of your grills are located toward the front of the restaurant, but the buffet where all of your raw meats and vegetables are located toward the back along with the desserts! Service: There wasn't much service since you're doing your own cooking, grilling and gathering your own food. However, how server did take good care of us. Food: I mean, you cook your own food so OF COURSE MY FOOD WAS AMAZING! Lol. It's such a good and fun experience though. You hit the buffet to grab some chicken, tofu, beefs, pork, vegetables or whatever you like, oil the grill then throw it on there! It's pretty simple. I love these kinds of spots, especially when they're buffets! Value: Merely 22€ for a buffet of all the meats, vegetables, shrimp and so much more stuff! I think this was an excellent value for sure. Just don't be wasteful! In conclusion, I'd check this place out again, but I don't often visit Lyon so I'd probably check out some more French restaurants!

WARNING: this IS NOT Korean BBQ. This is a sad excuse of an attempt to trick people in Lyon into…read morethinking they are enjoying a Korean meal, when in fact, it's some crappy Chinese food passed off as Korean. The setup is correct; the tables and ventilation, but the food is NOT Korean AT ALL. ( it seems like it was a Korean place sold to someone else who has no damn idea what Korean food is) 1st off, they do it buffet style. (Should have left right then....) the meat is there and the lettuce, but no white rice? No red sauce? No side dishes? So we go to ask the French server. He has no idea what we are talking about. My wife spotted an Asian woman going in and out from the back so she hopped up to ask her if there was red sauce.... In Korean..... Nope- the woman wasn't Korean. So the wife asked "does anyone speak Korean?" NOPE.... Bummer.... If I have to give a rundown of the food... Fine: the meat was bulgogi, but only soaked in soy sauce. The rice was fried rice with corn, peas, and carrots. The lettuce was iceberg.... Not even the real leaves.... I'm serious- I shouldn't have to say anymore. All in all ****AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE**** Enough said.
