No problem ordering drinks but in our party, four of us got their appetizers and meal and two of us were waiting...it was just jalapeños poppers and a cheeseburger! The rest of the party even got their checks and we were still waiting for our food! Mind you other people who came in after us got their food before us! When we asked the waitress she seemed to always have an excuse...there's only one cook, we are busy, I don't work the kitchen!!!! Really? then why did others who came in after us get their food before us? The answer, they called in...yeah, I don't think so! After one hour waiting we gave up and since the rest of our party were ready to leave our food finally arrived!!!...and the waitress asked do you just want a box to go???? Needless to say we won't be going there anytime soon!!!!!

Another 6 wings with mango habenero and 6 cuts of pizza with pepperoni. Was engaged with a friend texting back and forth so wasn't paying attention to the time. Three more people came in and ordered food. They got theirs in about 10 minutes. I still didn't. Looked at the time and now it's 827 pm. I asked can someone check on my food? She ran back and came back 5 minutes which we all know means more than 5 minutes. Fed up I said just give me my tab it's been an hour. Paid for my beer and left. Went to Hops and Barleys. Ordered my food and got it in 10 minutes. Wings and a Quesadilla. Never going back and suggest you never go if you're not a regular. Piss poor service filled with excuses and trying to make things better with a shot or a beer. Later.

The last time I was here I was with my dear friend Cinnamon who was and will always be my food review co-host. Ill place that video at the end of this one for you all to check out if I still have it somewhere. Ok so today I am getting as recommended the "thick & chewy" pie from my server Gabby. Now it comes plain so you have to add toppings if you want them, I added fresh garlic, onions, and bacon. This was nice and thick as stated, full of toppings. The pizza had a nice amount of cheese and sauce; the crust had a good crispy shell yet soft on the inside. This was very delicious. I did start out with a cup of loaded potato soup; this soup came out very hot and was loaded with potatoes and bacon, very creamy. My server was very energetic, and you could tell she enjoys what she does. A great job all the way around Checkerboard. Definitely you all need to come out and check out their menu.
