O Mastro has the casual elegance of a bistro. It is a long room with no decoration. It is like they just moved in.
I had the grilled codfish. I came at the recommendation of my AirBnB host. And because the place was filled with either expectant diners or smokers milling outside waiting to get in last night.
My cod was rubbery. The potatos that accompanied it were delicious.
I am not sure how a chef can tell a rubbery fillet from another. And I did not bring it up with the server. That is on me.
The service was efficient, if distant, and the server was an English speaker.
I won't rush to come back but I think it deserves another chance. read more
