Dr. Kofensteiner and his staff were great. Turned out I had to get two different kinds of grafts and the end result was as successful as my bone loss would allow. I haven't had any problems since. This was not a fun process, but this office was awesome. I got to watch a movie during my procedure which made the whole process very easy and kept my mind off of what was happening. I highly recommend this office. Oh yeah, I didn't have insurance and they offer a Care Credit card that you can apply for that has 0% interest for a period of time so you can pay it off. Depending on how much you have to spend depends on how long you get the 0%. I wouldn't have been able to afford this without the help of Care Credit.

Unfortunately, my experience after his departure has been extremely disappointing. About three weeks ago, I went in for a routine cleaning with absolutely no tooth pain or sensitivity. The new dentist Dr. Cartwright identified an issue involving a lower-left tooth and recommended what was described to me as a simple filling. The procedure itself was painful. I was told that some discomfort could last one to four weeks, but instead of improving, the pain and sensitivity progressively became worse--to the point that I could not sleep without taking pain medication. I contacted Premier Dental asking to have the tooth evaluated and to get a second opinion. I was told that Dr. Cartwright was on vacation and that the other dentist was booked for more than a month. Despite explaining that I was experiencing significant pain and had been a patient of the practice for over 15 years, I was directed to seek care elsewhere. I went to Smile Design Dental, where I was told there were chips in the filling and an infection. I was prescribed antibiotics and informed that I now need a root canal because the nerve has been affected. What makes this especially upsetting is that this tooth had no pain or sensitivity before the filling. I went in for routine care and agreed to what I understood would be a simple procedure. Three weeks later, I am dealing with significant pain, infection, antibiotics, a recommended root canal, and additional expense. I understand that complications can occur with any dental procedure. What disappoints me most is how the situation was handled afterward. After being a loyal patient for more than 15 years, I expected Premier Dental to make an effort to evaluate a serious problem that developed following treatment performed at their office. I hope Premier Dental reviews what happened and takes appropriate steps to improve both patient follow-up and continuity of care when complications occur.

I called this dentists and the prices was outrageous, so I went with a chain that does these things. About a week later a filling had come out and I called her office to get it refilled. I had to wait two weeks with a my tooth exposed so I ate only soft things. I finally got into the office and the chair. I could hear her giving the man in the next room this advice - "you will need a root canal and a crown on that tooth". When she came over to me she informed me (without even looking in my mouth) that she could not help me. When I asked why she told me it was because I chose to go with a chain instead of one of the names she gave to me for the implant. I begged her to please just fill the tooth, she huffed and took a short look at it - then informed me that I needed a root canal and a crown. I told her I had no pain, just this hole where the filling came out. Still she would do nothing. I left without any help at all. Thankfully, my exhusband's dentist will see me next week and will refill the tooth. Meanwhile, I have called my insurance provider to inform them of two visits that amounted to nothing! It is my opinion that this dentist is looking to do the most expensive of treatments and it is my opinion that something is going on with these other dentists she listed for the implant - maybe she gets a kickback for the referral? Who knows but it all seems strange. Upon telling my story to the neighbors I was informed they too had similar experiences and that they even had to fight with insurance over charges for things that were never done. I highly recommend you do in-depth research on this dentist before going to her. You may be paying for nothing.

The staff proactively contacted my insurance company to verify which X-rays would be covered prior to my appointment. The proposed treatment plan was reviewed with me in detail, and they provided two brochures for me to review, one for Cherry financing and another for the AVS Dental Plan.
