This place is fairly easy to get to, although parking was a bit tricky (I parked on the side and was unaware there was more parking on the other side of the building); also, I was unaware this was place was shared with an event space. When you first walk in, you'll see a sign for the event space upstairs and the 18 N Central place below. There are several computers for you to sign in (which consists of retrieving your info, picking a username and swiping a card (which I believe you can use for next time) and is also given to you from the front desk. The activities determine where you go. Since we were doing laser tag, we walked around the corner and were given a brief set of rules and instructions. Then we were assigned a team, our gear, and led to the actual laser tag area. We played a series of games and it was cool because throughout the games you could see your shooting percentage, kills, and etc. I had no expectations since this was my first time ever playing laser tag, but my competitive side refused to let me come in dead last. All in all, I had a great time. My only constructive criticism is to slow down when giving the directions. While it seemed like most people had experience, it was intimidating for those who didn't, especially when it came down to doing anything with the gun. Additionally, it made me feel like I was in the military for a second because the guy was talking so fast and made it as if he didn't want/need to repeat himself. The bright side, there is a bar and they serve food, so you can always people watch, too!

It's two for 47 and you get two icees with it as well. They have glow night so I would always call ahead. We came on a Saturday and got here at six and didn't realize they had glow night going on at seven so the kids only got to jump for an hour which was our fault so always check ahead. The glow looks super fun and the kids have different colored socks. They get a T-shirt and they turn the lights off. Definitely recommend for kids 10 or older.

We weren't told our old jump socks weren't allowed, and 5 minutes in, our child was pulled off and crying... ------ I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this so others can make an informed decision, especially those who remember the good old days of Rockin' Jump. If you're reading reviews, make sure to check the most recent ones. The ownership has changed, and with it, so has the experience. What once was a fun and friendly environment at Rockin' Jump has become a noticeably downgraded version under Sky Zone. Our family spent a lot of great times at Rockin' Jump, and we were regulars. One of the things we always appreciated was the flexibility with jump socks. Any safety socks from any trampoline park were always accepted. Naturally, we grabbed our kids' jump socks and headed out like we always had. We signed the usual waiver, paid for our jump time, and weren't told anything about a sock policy change. Not five minutes in, our child came back in tears because the staff wouldn't let her jump. We told her to go back out and try again, but another staff member immediately called her off again, pointing at her feet. When I asked for clarification -- especially since the rubber-grip socks were bought at that very location under the previous name -- I was told we had to purchase Sky Zone-branded socks if we wanted our kids to jump. No explanation, no safety reason, just "policy." We had to go back to the front, wait in a long line, and buy new socks. I still held out hope they would acknowledge the misunderstanding and at least extend the jump time to make up for what we lost -- but no. We paid for the socks, and that lost time? Gone. No refunds or extensions. Out of curiosity, I asked several staff (including at the desk) what made their socks special. I was only told, again, "It's policy." That's not a reason. It's branding -- and a forced upsell. While $4 per pair might not seem like much, it's the principle that leaves a bad taste. How do people feel about being forced to pay extra for the privilege of advertising someone else's logo? Other observations: Staff are allowed to wear whatever footwear they want -- apparently, the sock policy only applies to paying customers. The rock climbing wall is essentially nonfunctional now. The upper half has had all the pegs removed, so most kids just sit in the foam pit there. There's an intercom announcement every 15 minutes repeating the rules, which are already posted everywhere. It feels overbearing -- possibly the result of past legal issues? The staff enforcement of jump time has become uncomfortably strict. We understand that time limits are necessary, but the tone and delivery have become unnecessarily harsh. R.I.P. Rockin' Jump. You gave our family years of fun, and we'll treasure those memories. Sadly, this new version just isn't the same.

After a few years of focusing on other activities and trying a different pool league, I decided to…read moregive APA another shot, but under a 3rd league that happens to be in kind of my area. I hesitated on trying this 3rd league earlier because I was concerned that too many people would know each other from the other two leagues and that it would affect my chances to find a good team for me for this third league. A number of players play on multiple teams in different divisions and sometimes in multiple leagues. The league leaders, it seems many will feel they have to tell you that all teams are filled up rather than that some teams do not want to take more members if you're trying to look for a team and don't know anyone. Guess trying to keep the peace and stay neutral is better than causing more conflict, but it is ashame they feel that have to cover those kind of things up. If you're really unlucky, you could get a league leader(s) that are not responsive or really care enough about their community. Being able to join this particular new team, I learned a lot of new things that basically summed up to that I finally found a good team. 1. Many teams in the league are not actually filled but they only want certain people. So, if you don't know anyone, it might be very hard to get on a team. 2. APA has a rule where if you're male and if you make it to TriCups?, if you are ranked a 2 or lower, you must be automatically ranked a 3. A significant number of people agree that this rule is nonsensical if not at least outdated at the very least. Some traditionalists don't want the change simply because "it is the way things are." This inequality only helps promote the lack of diversity and class already existent in what seems to be much of the culture. 3. Competition can be cut throat. So, if you don't know anyone, just be open to dealing with things potentially. For instance, I put together that a former team I was on, I was told that in order for their result to count for playoffs and up, I had to play in 4 games in the following season. When I had looked in the rule book and told them that it seems like the 4 game rule only applies to the current season before you make it to playoffs and not also after, they nicely implied that I was missing a detail. Being able to be with people I can trust more currently, I can confirm this is definitely not the case and that my teammates on the other team were being abusive of my schedule even though I told them before I started that I would not be able to continue the following consecutive season. With some people, there are superstitions that if they talk about dates so far in the future and they don't know if they will make playoffs, etc., that they would jinx themselves. Some people want to get involved, but they have lives. Playing in a pool league should be about respect on all sides- whether it's not having the expectation for people to stay the entire game or not being a bully to have to play only when you want to play and then leave. For a team I considered joining years ago, when the captain demanded I stay the entire time no matter what, I asked if I could stay the night at his place to accommodate his request and he couldn't answer that. Some people will accommodate their buddies if they get drunk, but if they have other personal issues, they aren't willing to accommodate and reciprocate reasonably so. Smoking is big in the culture too still. It's ironic how some people who love to smoke hate to be in a smoke filled room. I'm not sure what can change the culture as things are this way even outside of this. You might wonder why did I write an update? Because I wanted to and it felt like the right thing to do. I want positive changes. This is like a journal because it's been a very emotional experience for me.
