Henrique and his fixed the damage, made the room much more weatherproof, and made the inside far far nicer than it was before. Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

We had great difficulty with customer service re: Boston Iron Group. FYI, it wasn't mentioned…read moreduring our initial estimate, but it's standard for them to complete painting touch up on site when they deliver your railing. I questioned the workers doing this as it was about to rain, but they assured me that it would be fine. We had a downpour within one hour of them painting and sure enough, the paint job suffered. I had to contact Aylton, the owner, repeatedly for 6 weeks before the painting was finally touched up. There were many weather days when painting was not an option, but the company didn't try to fulfill their promise of correcting things in a timely manner or without my constant reminding. I recommend looking elsewhere for your railing needs.

One thing we did not want was to have the typical vinyl sided house with white trip. EVERY vinyl sided house has white trim. BORING!! We wanted to keep the same basic color scheme so I began the chore of finding the proper contractor to do the job. I called several companies. Often you can tell by the presentation of the first meeting if they are going to do good work. This was the case with Quinn's Construction. The first contractor was like a used car salesman and was clearly over its head. While being the lowest quote, it was clear the work would be subpar. The second contractor was much better but lost out since they could not find the proper materials to do the job to my satisfaction. Quinn's Construction took ample time to listen to my wants and provided several options to accomplish the goal. They were the highest price but it was clear that you get what you pay for. The crew was professional and prompt. The work was done over the end of winter. We provided our garage to the work force to make life best for all. Some minor issues had to be dealt with but we came to a fair agreement and the work was done as desired. The attention to detail was great. From the trim around the roof line to the address number box and the doorbells, this was done properly. The bay window required some additional work but it was done well.
