Found out about this place about a month ago. I live in Capitan, NM and go to Lubbock about once a…read moremonth. I have a dually truck and most car washes are to small to put the truck through. This place has a car wash that is big enough to handle the dually. I pulled up and was promptly greeted. Not knowing what to do, the gentlemen explained the procedure and directed me to the correct Lane. Duallys are $22. It seemed like it covered everything. Underbody wash, polish etc. after I paid the gate opened and I drove through. There's an immediate sharp, very tight, right turn. Definitely not enough space for a 22 foot long dually truck. Had to partially go up and over the curb. I got up to the entrance and two people were there with brushes washing off the bugs from the grill and windshield. I'm surprised that they didn't take the radio antenna off. When I went through the wash, I surly thought the brushes would break it off. It did survive. After I got through the wash there were 4 people to wipe the truck dry. They did a fairly good job. The polished aluminum rims were not clean and there were a few spots that they missed wiping the truck down. But all in all, it was a pretty good job. I will return. 11/19/17 update. Got truck washed again. One person to great us & prewash the truck & take the antenna off. Went through the wash & one person to wipe the truck off. They really did a great job. Going from 3 stars to 4.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Grease Monkey. I brought my Audi Q5 in for a…read moreroutine oil change, and I am now facing over $3,200 in repairs because of their improper servicing. After discovering an oil leak, I took my vehicle to the Audi dealership, where I was informed that the leak was caused by the previous oil change. According to the dealership, a plastic component that should have been replaced was reused and overtightened, ultimately causing damage and an oil leak. What makes this even more frustrating is that the entire situation could have been avoided if the oil change had been performed correctly. I trusted Grease Monkey to properly service my vehicle, and instead, I am now dealing with thousands of dollars in repairs and the inconvenience of being without my car. I would strongly recommend that anyone, especially those with European vehicles, reconsider bringing their vehicle here. A simple oil change should never result in this kind of damage.

Mitch saved our day! My wife and I were on a road trip traveling to Austin from the Bay Area in…read moreCalifornia. When we stopped in Lubbock for the night, we had realized that the brakes on our car felt spongy and somewhat non-responsive. With the local dealership booked til the week after, we needed a more immediate option as we had to leave for Austin the next day. We settled on M&M Tire and Service Center because of the glowing reviews and it did not disappoint. We met Mitch in the wee hours of the morning and he immediately made us feel like we were in good hands. We told Mitch our car dilemma and our need to leave Lubbock and make it to Austin that day. We left the car and set off to eat at a restaurant at his recommendation, which was also fantastic! When we came back and our stomachs full, it only took an hour or so later for Mitch to update us. He found the problem but was unable to fix it with our timeline and needing to get into Austin the same day. He found the car was still OK to drive and helped us concoct a plan to fix the car when we arrived in Austin. He even went as far as calling a number of dealerships in Austin himself to figure out which was the best for us and which one had the part we needed. Mitch is awesome, and we are greatly indebted to him. Not only did he take us on short notice and without an appointment, he found our problem, and called a number of dealerships on our behalf. And he did not even charge us a cent! It should go without saying that we made it to Austin and based on his recommendations, we are getting the car fixed. Whether you live in Lubbock or you are just passing by, M&M Tire and Service Center should be your first choice if you are having car trouble. Would love to pass by again if we ever have car troubles again. Thanks Mitch!

I was in Lubbock from Hobbs for a doctor's appointment for my medically fragile, tracheostomy and…read moreoxygen dependent infant son when my car inexplicably sputtered out and died in an intersection. I am grateful to have been referred (and towed) to an auto shop that was willing to squeeze me in on an emergency basis, despite being busy and seemingly understaffed. The lobby and restroom were exceptionally clean, the staff was very professional and courteous, and they were kind and friendly and welcoming in person and on the phone with everyone I saw them interact with, despite being busy. They were quick to diagnose and repair the minor issue that had been caused by an incorrectly installed fuel filter, and got me and my son back on the road safely. Now: to talk to the place that did my last oil change.

The original factory fluid degrades and loses friction modifiers, which causes a slipping and shuddering sensation. I went in that morning and was quoted a little over $800 for a full machine flush. I originally stated it needed fluid for the 8-speed, which was incorrect; it needed a different fluid because mine has the 6-speed. It is cheaper, although not by much. I got an invoice later that day for an inspection and "transmission fluid diagnostic" for $150. They then went on to tell me the issue was my brake rotors, when it was clearly not an issue with the brakes. The shuddering happens when accelerating and shifting into 3rd gear, especially up inclines or after making turns. They do not listen to me and dismiss my reasoning, stating their tech is a 20-year qualified Chevy tech and knows what he's doing. Clearly, he does not, because this is an extremely common, well-known issue with many of these drivetrains. They stated the transmission was fine because they checked the fluid (which they charged me $150 to do, by the way) and said it looked fine. This specific issue cannot be determined by such a test, as the fluid appears fine on a test but is broken down microscopically and contaminated. I told them very clearly I would simply like them to do a full machine flush and call it good. They agreed. Later, I got an invoice for a "transmission fluid exchange service," which is NOT a machine flush, and it only replaces around half of the old fluid. They charged me around half of what the original quote had said, which was conveniently gone. They said it was because of the different, cheaper fluid. That fluid is slightly cheaper as previously stated, but not $200 cheaper. They copy-pasted the "11.2 quarts" of fluid it needs, which is the exact capacity and retrieved from a standard maintenance bulletin, into the new invoice and charged me for it all and only replaced around half of that. I tried to politely go in and state my case but was continually dismissed and lied to. I will never take my business back to this place and would recommend everyone else do the same.
