Pictured is our order of mussels and clams in a delicious garlic broth that my husband and I shared as an appetizer. (I should've gotten this as my main! I could've gobbled the whole thing by myself!) We had a plate of fish n' chips -- heavily battered, but not bad -- grilled sea bass, and grilled chicken breasts, marinated and sliced thin. (Would've been better on the bone.) We chose a bottle of Chianti, that was so well priced, I was surprised it was Classico, with the signature black rooster. The restaurant is located at the beginning of the strip on a less populated block. Definitely worth finding if there are non-seafood lovers amongst you. (I noticed there were burgers on the menu.)

Our food came out after a few minutes. The Tower was a huge burger and I had to squeeze it down for me to take a bite out of it. The burger was okay and the steak fries were good. My friend's Calamari e Chips looked like nothing special and looked like it was enough for one person. They had lots of TVs scattered throughout the pub with sports on. There are lots of draft beers to choose from as well as bottles and cans. My only issue was there was no food and no air conditioning. As you could imagine, it got really hot in there in June. Luckily, there are multiple take away restaurants on that same street so it was easy to go grab some food and bring it back to the pub. Service was friendly enough. No, it won't fool true Irish pub-goers, but it's a passable way to escape the Aperol and wine of most of Rome. The food menu is strange but I do recommend trying a few offerings. I got the new yorker, a buttered bagel with bresaola, unexpectedly delicious and affordable. They also have a great selection of beers to choose from and plenty of seating for large crowds down to small nooks for your friends to gather. Keep in mind there is no table service so go to the bar to get your drinks! Can't wait to come back and see some old friends!
