Not to point fingers -- (ahem -- my daughter!) -- one of us isn't a fan of seafood. The Tower offered everything, including enough outdoor tables to accommodate us sans reservation. Pictured is our order of mussels and clams in a delicious garlic broth that my husband and I shared as an appetizer. (I should've gotten this as my main! I could've gobbled the whole thing by myself!) We had a plate of fish n' chips -- heavily battered, but not bad -- grilled sea bass, and grilled chicken breasts, marinated and sliced thin. (Would've been better on the bone.) We chose a bottle of Chianti, that was so well priced, I was surprised it was Classico, with the signature black rooster. The restaurant is located at the beginning of the strip on a less populated block. Definitely worth finding if there are non-seafood lovers amongst you. (I noticed there were burgers on the menu.)

Their menu was simple and had bar food, pasta and drinks. The waitress was nice and helped us decide what to order. I ordered The Tower (€12) since it sounded good and my friend ordered the Calamari e Chips (€10). The back of the restaurant was a little dim as far as lighting but it added to the atmosphere. Our food came out after a few minutes. The Tower was a huge burger and I had to squeeze it down for me to take a bite out of it. The burger was okay and the steak fries were good. My friend's Calamari e Chips looked like nothing special and looked like it was enough for one person. This place was not bad and would recommend checking it out if you want to drink and snack on bar food.

I don't recall seeing any salads or sandwiches for sale, but then again, that's not what brought me here in the first place, of course I'm here to satisfy my interest in specialty beers! It's not a brew house, there are no drafts on tap or anything like that, but they have a wide selection of different European specialty beers. There are shelves after shelves filled with German, Belgian, Dutch, British, Irish, Italian, and other European brands. They have a promotion underway, each €20 in beer purchases will yield you a free movie ticket (while supplies last). I didn't pursue it for a couple of reasons: no time, nor plans, for the movies, and sheer inability to consume that much alcohol, especially given the fact that these craft beers are pretty strong, being 8.5% vol. Some of the craft specialties sold: - Birrificio Grado Plato Sveva Birra, Piedmont, Italy - Struise Brouwers Sveva IPA - Grado Plato Sveva Speciale, Pilsener beer - Grado Plato Sticher, Altbier, both by Birrificio Grado Plato brewery in Chieri (TO), Italy - La Trappe Quadrupel (Koningshoeven/Dominus), Quadrupel (Quad) style brewed by Bierbrouwerij De Koningshoeven B.V. in Berkel-Enschot, Netherlands - La Chouffe, Belgian strong pale ale brewed by Brasserie d'Achouffe in Achouffe, Belgium - Moinette Blonde (light) and Moinette Brune (dark), Belgian strong ale by Brasserie Dupont brewery in Tourpes-Leuze, Belgium - Tripel Karmeliet, Tripel style brewed by Brouwerij Bosteels in Buggenhout, Belgium - Pauwel Kwak, Belgian strong pale ale brewed by Bosteels Brewery (Brouwerij Bosteels) in Buggenhout, Belgium - Steenbrugge Blond, Belgian ale by Brouwerij Palm brewery in Londerzeel, Belgium - Steenbrugge Dubbel Bruin, brown abbey dubbel style beer brewed by Brouwerij Palm in Steenhuffel, Belgium - Saison Dupont, saison farmhouse ale from Belgium - Bière de Garde, strong pale ale, beer for keeping from Nord-Pas-de-Calais region of France - Bière De Miel Biologique, Saison farmhouse ale brewed by Brasserie Dupont sprl in Tourpes, Belgium
