The acupuncturist was knowledgeable about my rare disorder (CRPS) and offered several suggestions for how she could treat me for that plus a few consequential symptoms I hadn't even considered could be relieved with acupuncture. The community treatment room also felt tranquil and even though there were others in the same space having treatments, I felt relaxed and able to enjoy the session. Everyone seemed very respectful of others, being quiet as they entered/ exited and honoring each others' privacy. This was my first acupuncture treatment and everything was very thoroughly explained, down to how I should expect to feel during and after, and I was urged to let the practitioner know if anything felt off or painful beyond the initial discomfort of the needles. I am feeling less pain in my foot already (about 4 hours post-treatment). I am hopeful that continued treatments will continue to give me relief. But the experience was so relaxing and enjoyable, even if it's unable to totally heal my CRPS pain, I plan to keep going back!

When I first agreed to the interview online, it stated that the employer would call at the time of the interview. I waited by my phone and 10 minutes after the agreed time, I decided to give them a call. They said they expected the interview to be in person. So I apologized, even though it was not my mistake, and we agreed I would be able to do an in person interview an hour later. I got there, the interview went great, and they said they would get back to me within a week. A week passes and I still haven't heard anything back. I call them the next Saturday, but no one answered the phone. I called again the following Monday and told them I want to check on the status of my application. They put me on hold for a few seconds and then tell me that the doctor is sorry to get back to me so late but that the position has been filled. Very unprofessional for an employer to not get back to applicants at all until they check in, especially when it was communicated by the employer that they would reach out to you within a certain time frame. Best of luck.

I have also been treated for headaches, sleep issues, inflammation, skin issues, respiratory illness and more with success. Jena's expertise at diagnosis is exceptional as well as her insights about other symptoms. She spends a lot of time asking questions and listening to provide the best treatment possible. I have learned so much from Jena about my body, and how to treat things naturally through acupuncture, food, movement, and daily habits instead of relying on medications. She educates me at every visit to help me understand what can cause the problem and what I can do in addition to acupuncture and herb therapy to help myself heal. Getting well is a process and cannot be an overnight cure with medications, which can end up causing more problems. I have found huge improvement and a sense of wellbeing since coming to Jena. When you arrive, you will check in with Albert, who is always friendly and in a good mood! Next, you'll be shown to your room where you'll meet with Rona to discuss your health and any ailments that might be troubling you. Rona spends a lot of time asking important questions so that she can determine how best to treat you. She will meet with you each and every time you treat with her. I appreciate that because things change in my body from week to week, and she treats me based on what is currently causing issues. It's fascinating that her needle placement varies based on my current ailments. She treats me for that moment, not for what I needed in the past. I trust her methods of focusing on the current needs of my body. Then you have the opportunity to prepare for your acupuncture by resting on the massage table. Be prepared that they are very narrow tables and I do wish they were slightly wider tables. At first, I was a little worried that it might hurt, but you cannot even feel the needles going in unless it's between your big toe and your second toe, for some reason that one's a little bit of a bugger! The needles are strategically placed to benefit your body. Eastern medicine would say it awakens your Chi, western medicine would say it awakens your central nervous system. Whatever it does, it has worked for me! As a cancer patient, my oncologist stated that Acupuncture is one of the only alternative treatments that actually works for cancer patients. Acupuncture works for me quickly while I'm treating, I am able to finally relax which is not always easy when you're going through chemotherapy. She has been my acupuncturist for more than twelve years (my old lady memory sometimes fails me!), so she is definitely experienced and has extensive knowledge of anything you could possibly throw at her. She truly cares about your well being and progress. I've had several tension and trigger point issues in the past, and serious hip issues over the past couple years. Getting regular acupuncture and cupping treatments has been crucial to my comfort level. If you've never had acupuncture it's incredibly relaxing, considering it is needles going into your body! It feels almost like a little tap (every once in a while there is a really tight area that is slightly uncomfortable for a second or two), and then you get a 20 minute nap under an infrared light in the middle of the day! I almost always fall asleep I'm so relaxed. So great!! Cupping sounds weird, but is amazing for pulling the toxins and tension from your muscles. It's oddly relaxing, leaves round "caterpillar" marks that go away in a couple days depending on how much you need detoxed, and only takes a few minutes. I've sent several friends and family members to her and they are all thrilled with the difference in how their body feels immediately. Dr. Debbie's staff is lovely, helpful, and always makes everyone feel completely comfortable and welcome. I recently saw a negative review, and while I respect that everyone's experience is their own, what was described there is very different from what I personally experienced over a long period of care. Dr. Chien is a very sought‑after practitioner, and because of that he is busy with many patients. That has always been normal in his clinic. Bruising can happen with acupuncture, even with excellent technique, and patients generally cannot know whether a needle "missed" a point. As for herbs, Dr. Chien provides custom herbal formulas based on each patient's specific needs, and in traditional Chinese medicine these do not come with Western‑style ingredient labels -- that is standard practice. I'm not here to dismiss anyone's feelings, but I do want readers to know that the negative review paints a picture that does not match the care I received. My long‑term experience with Dr. Chien was consistently positive, transparent, and effective, and I hope this helps provide a fuller and more balanced perspective.

My biggest concern was the lack of transparency during the initial consultation. At no point was I informed that, in addition to the acupuncture sessions, I would be expected to purchase herbal tablets. It wasn't until after I had already paid $700 for a package of 10 sessions that Dr. Chien told me the tablets were necessary for treatment, at an additional cost of $150 per week for an unspecified period of time. I purchased the tablets once, but they were provided without any labeling or information about their ingredients. I ultimately had to email Dr. Chien afterward just to find out what I had been given. During my last two acupuncture sessions, the needles missed the intended acupuncture points, leaving me with significant bruising. In addition, Dr. Chien is always in such a hurry treating multiple patients at the same time, it made each appointment feel rushed and left very little opportunity to ask questions or discuss my treatment. Greater transparency about treatment costs and recommendations from the beginning, along with more individualized attention during appointments, would have made for a much better patient experience.
