Not only worth a trip, this charming restaurant is outside Redondo, but ought to have a Michelin Starr--seriously, it is that good. They specialize in regional cuisine. When we arrived we had the place to ourselves and sat at the deuce in the window.
We sampled quite a few items. The roasted peppers, fabulous mushrooms with ham, and green salad. The entrees were spareribs and lamb chops. The spare ribs were wonderful. Both came with French fries. A local red wine completed the meal. And for dessert, we had a cheese torte.
The service was friendly even though he couldn't speak English and we cheated using the Google Translate app to "read" the menu. The total tab was just over 50 euros.
This place is absolutely delightful! Certainly one of the best meals in Portugal. read more
