AMAZING!!! Such a great atmosphere and great deals. 9 euros for 3 beer tasters which are basically full glasses. If you take anything from this review is that you MUST order the chicken and mushroom pot pie. It is decadent and perhaps the best dish I've ever had. The chicken wrap is also very good for a healthier option. Pro tip: don't try to share the pot pie because you will end up fighting with your forks. read more

Den Haag is the seat of government, but not the capital of the Netherlands, a role set aside by the Dutch constitution for Amsterdam. However, Queen Beatrix is here, as are all foreign embassies and various government ministries (including the Supreme Court and Council of State). The Hague is also the de facto judicial capital of the United Nations. The practical upshot for this occasional American visitor is that English is widely spoken, you run into interesting people (like the Chilean diplomats who were ahead of me in line at a local stationary store), and it's possible to find a good Irish pub (in addition to other International choices). O'Casey's is actually located next to a Pizza Hut, but you're better coming in here for a wee pint and some surprisingly good Fish and Chips. This place is also authentic right right down to the dark woods, work mates carrying on, a good Irish brogue from Pub staff, a dart board area, and the crowds that were recently watching the Real Madrid/Barcelona Soccer Match. The only thing missing was some live music at the time I was there. Best of all for me was a chance to just relax and kick back with an adult beverage after 2 full days of intense meetings. A typical Irish pub- it is a great place to find ex-pats. The food is reasonably priced and tasty- but your standard pub food. There are lots of televisions for watching sporting events, and during big games they put extra televisions in the back patio. During non-sporting events the back patio is what elevates this place above a lot of the other pubs and bars around The Hague. It is a huge patio with lots of space, tables, chairs. The staff makes everybody feel welcomed. I was in The Hague for a month for school and stopped by here several times with my friends. I also have other friends who were there everyday. It is an easy place to recommend. read more

I haven't tried any meals yet but I probably will sooner or later. 4 stars because: Atmosphere is really good, design authentic for an Irish pub. The beer they use to tap tastes smooth. However, the price for a large one (€ 5,20) appears to be normal in the Netherlands. The best Irish pub in town. Filled up with mostly expats, a few locals enter once in a while... As usual Guinness and other typical beers, a few good alcohols and whiskys. The pub food is not bad, and if you're starving they have a superburger with everything you can imagine on it. it will probably feed you for a whole day or 2. The atmosphere is great all day long, relaxed during the day, and typical drunken pub in the evening with big smiles, sometimes live music, pubquizz,... My highlight is the garden on a summer day, with a book and a pint. read more

Fun atmosphere. we celebrated our first nigh n Europe here and even go to take in a soccer (football) game in the bar. The bartenders were attentive and friendly. The patrons were mostly foreigners, not many Dutch. read more

Typical Irish pub, but drinks are more expensive than other places. A drink starts at 5 euros which is 2.50 in other places. Haven't tried the food but I'm told it's ok. As for the crowd, usually 30 and 40 somethings frequent. The backyard terrace is nice when the weather is good. read more

A very typical Irish pub in the centre of the Hague. Quite expensive in comparison to the dutch pubs but does offer pint size glasses. Nice garden at the back if the weather permits. Sometimes has live bands. read more

We were there for a company event on Friday 16th Dec at 20:00. The man on the phone (John) was really nice and the atmosphere was relaxed. Food was good too (hence 2 stars despite our bad experience). The one thing that was disappointing was our waitress (a young English speaking brunette with a scowl). She was very rude, she forgot one of our orders but shouted that it couldn't be made because the kitchen was closed (of course by then it was closed but the food was ordered half an hour before though). When we tried to ask her more questions she kept snapping at us. She seemed like she hated her job & hated us. This is too bad because we like O' Casey's but her attitude left a bad taste in our mouths. read more
