In the past year, I have eaten one lunch and one dinner here. For both visits, the exterior of the restaurant needed to be updated, but the interior looked stylish and clean. An employee promptly greeted me, seated me at a table, and took my order, although she did not speak much English. Across my two visits, here are the foods that I purchased: Classic Spicy Grilled Fish - 4.5 stars - I am not sure of the type of fish, but it and its accompanying vegetables came in a large, impressive tray and tasted spicy and delicious. White rice was on the side. Fried Sticky Rice Cake - 4.5 stars - This dessert reminded me of donuts with a chewy inside, and I liked them very much. Beef Skewers and Chicken Skewers - 4.5 stars - The meats were juicy and highly seasoned. PF BBQ House is open for lunch and dinner for dining in, takeout, and delivery. You may order food in person or through apps such as Fantuan. I encourage more people to eat here.

Rodent droppings and chew marks were found in food preparation areas. I would not be surprised if they tried to pass stray cat meat off as Kung Pow chicken. Really great spot for tapas and drinks with a great atmosphere!…read more Balvanera had amazing service and great food and drinks to match. The pisco sour is one of my favorites, while each of the dishes were delicious and were great accompaniments. The standouts were the empanadas, tongue, and tartare, but nothing was a miss. Definitely a great place for a slightly formal but still relaxed casual meal!

The star of the show here is definitely the meat. The Argentinean steaks are incredibly tender and cooked to absolute perfection--honestly, they're so flavorful you barely even need the chimichurri (though you should definitely still use it because it's fantastic). Before the main course, do yourself a favor and order a few small plates; the empanadas are perfectly crisp with delightful fillings. They also have an incredible selection of South American wines, great craft cocktails, and a killer mocktail list if you're not drinking. Save room for dessert, too--the dulce de leche flan and the housemade pistachio ice cream are out of this world. Between the moody, gorgeous lighting and the top-tier service, it's easily one of the best dining experiences in the city right now.

When I first got here, I went to the bathroom and it was pretty dirty. It smelled like bleach too,…read moreand the supply closet was open with a bunch of stuff sitting there. After seeing how icky the bathroom was, I was nervous to eat there & only decided to stay for a meal because my friend really wanted me to try their food. Honestly, I am SO glad I stayed and I really can't wait to go back again! The restaurant itself is super cute and has a beautiful mural outside of the building, which I snapped a pic of. I loved the tables inside and the wallpaper. I ordered the shrimp fried rice and ate it so quickly that I didn't even get a photo, hahaha! It was sooo delicious! That was definitely a comfort food choice, since I was trying lamb for the first time. And how was the lamb you might ask? Absolutely insane. Steak has been my favorite food for a long time, but I'm pretty positive that lamb has taken its place! Gosh it was delicious and they seasoned it SO wonderfully! It melted in my mouth and was so naturally buttery from the fat. It's certainly a new guilty pleasure of mine. I also tried the Sichuan chicken, which was pretty dang good! I really enjoyed the spice level and the taste of the dish! I was totally caught off guard by it being served cold (intentionally), yet I really liked it! Water and cups were given to us upon seating, and we ordered digitally via a QR code. The food came out probably 15 minutes after that, which was awesome! The girl who brought us the food seemed pretty sweet too. Dining here was more than just getting food. It was a whole different kind of experience for me, and it felt as if I was able to experience a few authentic cultural things, which I am very grateful for! I will definitely be back again and with friends! Although my first impression wasn't the best, I can acknowledge one thing clearly--dirty bathroom but AMAZING food!
