You just have to admire the one-man-army running this small restaurant. Serving and cooking at the same time while still getting the food just right, not overcooking the fish or ending up with a well-done steak, that does take some skill and a well-coordinated mind. I guess it helps that the number of seats and different options on the menu are limited.
We went here for lunch on a Saturday and just managed to get the last available table just after 1pm. So it's definitely a popular place, which I really do get. The food and wine is good, service friendly and the atmosphere very down-to-earth. I do however not think that the food is extraordinary. Don't get me wrong. Our starter; a fish rilette and salad, and our main; fish, polenta and peas, were all good and prepared well. It was just not more than a nice lunch. read more
