This was a fancy spot. We ordered the lamb shoulder and red snapper. The service was excellent as expected for these fancy smancy places. The green Portuguese wine recommended was delicious per the wife. It was good food. Wife enjoyed her red snapper but I felt the black pig was dry. I ordered it bc it's only offered here but it was ALRIGHT. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the experience. One huge tip, wear insect spray. I got ATTACKED by small silent mosquitoes. One of our favorites of all time. The quality of food, hospitality, Cocktails, dessert were exceptional. The fish and beef dishes - specials: monkfish and sole, lamp chops, were recommended and did not disappoint. Veal steak, filet, and chicken were also great and devoured by our teenagers. They bring share vegetable dish- potato, zucchini, carrot combo which was delicious. The fig ice cream and mulberry flavor were amazing and the crepe fruit Suzette is prepared table side. read more

This is a romantic and quaint as it gets. A hidden gem known to only a few who venture. Even the local chefs in the Algarve haven't yet heard about this place (at least the ones that i've spoke to - many claiming to know every chef in the region). Nestled in the Algraves, this is a little different and off the beaten track. Why? Because it's not next to water. Rather it's next to farmlands. The restaurant itself is an old converted farmhouse - giving you the inviting feel of old rustic charm, but warmth and modernity reflecting the Portugese-German couple that opened it. The food is traditional and contemporay. Situated where they are, they have access to the best meats, seafoods, vegetables and wheat. What more could you ask for? It parlays very nicely to the food. The wine selection is great. The atmosphere is warm. The service is professional yet family. The owner will even come to your table with the catch of the day in hand to show you what he can do today. Even the desserts are mind blowing. You finish the meal really strong. When i think of perfect meals globally, this is one of them. And the biggest surprise of all - it barely cost me anything as a Canadian. I hope you read this review and take the time to go to the restaurant. It is well worth it. It does require getting into a car though, thankfully i wasn't the DD and was able to enjoy their excellent wine selection. read more

Beautiful atmosphere seated in a cobbled leafy garden. The food was delicious I had the salted tuna and grilled sea bass. Both I highly recommend. If you like your wines have a look at their cellar and you are sure to find a drop you will like. read more

Good fresh fish but Definitely avoid the shrimp and meats. They were yucky and when we mentioned it nothing was done.
