After passing plenty of asian restaurants that we were familiar with, we decided to try something new and considering the abundance of people sitting at Nyom we thought that it was a good choice.
We sat down and were quickly tended to, the waitress was very polite. Not long after another waitress approached us and asked if we could put our belongings under the table (baring in mind that these belongings were already between us and the wall--impossible to obstruct the staff). Unclear of this interaction we carried on as normal. We ordered the Pagodadream, Cloud Nice Tofu and the Vegan Pot.
Before long the food arrived and we were very hungry and excited. We dug in immediately and to our surprise and disappointment; we all looked at eachother and sighed. The food was watery, bland and tasted like a cheap takeaway chinese. The vegetables were all crinkle-cut--and tasted like they were frozen and re-heated. The sauces were had flavours that tasted very unnatural and left us feeling sickly and unsatisfied. We all ate as much as we could because we hate food waste, but we really were not happy about it. We asked for the bill, had another very pleasant interaction with a staff member and left.
I would highly recommend against eating at this restaurant because quite frankly the quality of food is revolting for the price range. For this quality of food (to me almost inedible) should be a quarter of the price.
Taking all of this into consideration; the staff as a whole were wonderful and the environment was very comfortable and felt authentic. read more
