I recently purchased a groupon for headshots here at NYB. I needed them done ASAP and was very pleased to hear back within a few hours after emailing them. Yasmin was very responsive and flexible in accommodating my tight schedule and answering all my questions beforehand . When I got there, Natali was my photographer and she made me feel so comfortable. I never realized what a difference a great photographer made - sometimes you think it's just the camera or lighting that makes for a good picture, but Natali was great about telling me which ways to pose, what looked good, and what didn't look so good. She was also fixing my hair for me if a piece fell loose. They sent me the photos within one business day - over 250 to look through. Of the approx. 250, I would say about 100 were good, 100 were great and 50 were PHENOMENAL. And I really do mean that. I chose three for editing and the edits were sent back within the day. I asked them to tweak the editing a bit (wanted to look a bit more tan in one photo!) and they did so. All in all, I always hesitate when buying groupons because you never know what you are going to get, but my experience there was amazing! I would highly recommend going there if you need headshots, business shots, or any photos whatsoever. read more

The ladies at NYB media/Toronto Head Shots were wonderful! I needed to get my headshots taken fairly quickly and from the very first point of contact (email in my case, its the easiest for me!) they were very quick to respond and addressed all of my questions right away. They fit me and my boyfriend in for headshots with a few days notice. The experience, right from the beginning, was amazing. The makeup services were exactly what I was looking for - she gave me the natural look I wanted but still made me feel great. The experience of taking the photos was also very professional, efficient, and comfortable. They were great at walking you through the poses and making sure everything was in place and looking good as we went. They took over 270 photos of each of us - all of them turned out great, it was really difficult to select the shots for editing. As soon as we selected the shots for editing, the turn around time on the edited shots was literally less than a day - and they looked GREAT. I was in severe need of new professional headshots and stumbled upon Groupon for NYB Media. I decided to try it out as I had never heard of them before. Yasmin was great at corresponding up to the session, so I knew what to expect when I arrived. When I got there, the girls made me feel right at home in their spacious studio with some conversation, coffee, and great music from upstairs! The makeup artist was very focused, patient, and gentle - she gave me a very natural look and feel. I felt a little awkward when I got in front of the camera, but Natali and Yasmin talked me through the whole process and guided me on doing different positions and smiles so that after a few shots were taken I felt like a pro! I was also a little nervous about my hair since it was raining that day, but the girls really paid attention to it during the shoot. There were almost 300 photos taken of me in 3 different outfits and backgrounds and the turn around time was great! The ladies at NYB Media are true professionals with a keen eye for detail. I purchased a Groupon for headshot and when making the appointment to the actual day it was all arranged in a timely manner. The studio was spacious and the women were very welcoming. Jenny had a magnificent job with make up, she was so nice and the make up was just perfect. The whole experience had made me feel comfortable. Natali & Yasmin made sure that no hair was out of place, if a collar had to be turned down or if an angle was good or if a change of lighting was required. Once finished, I was surprised to learn at how quickly the unedited photo's will be sent and they were good to their word...no lengthy waiting period which was a bonus! The edited photo's were very professional and was not heavily edited, all very natural with the necessary adjustments (so happy about that!). My experience was very similar to the first few reviews. I contacted NYB Media as I needed some professional head shots taken, primarily for my LinkedIn account. Yasmin responded to my e-mail request promptly and professionally, arranging a mutually agreeable time to come in to the studio. Yasmin greeted me upon my arrival, told me how the photo session would take place and introduced me to Natali, my photographer. Both ladies were incredibly patient and understanding (I never got the hang of posing correctly!). I received a slew of photos within one week, asked for some guidance on which ones they thought were among the best, and decided upon three (one from each set of clothing for variety) which were touched up and sent back to me within a couple of days. I had a great experience with NYB Media when getting headshots. I used a Groupon for the makeup and photos and the team made me feel really comfortable. They were relaxed, friendly, and above all, professional. The makeup was a bit heavier than I would have put on, but looks stunning and quite natural in the shots so I'm very glad I had it done. The photos were fantastic - lighting was great, there were a variety of backdrops, excellent suggestions on poses and a great photographer. I got my professional headshots recently done at NYB Media. I could not be happier with the results! They can apply a touch of cover-up if you have my luck and woke up with a pimple at the worst possible time. It was my first photoshoot and I loved the experience! The ladies made me feel as ease and accommodated my requests for specific photo poses. I needed some professional photos for my website and needed them to capture me in action (I am a shiatsu therapist). My makeup was very nice and natural.
