Mixed feelings about them. The cell sound treatments are a joke. They cost thousands of dollars and do nothing. I have been doing some Vivace treatments on my arms for deep wrinkles and they have helped a little, but probably not worth the money there either. Beware!!! Do Not Sign-up for CellSound! I did exactly what they said for 4 weeks. Drank tons of water; Ate vegetables and protein and no sugar at all; Exercised daily and did sauna and steam room. I had basically ZERO results! I lost a total of 3 cm in my abdomen with them measuring several places to get to even 3 cm. I was told at then end that different bodies respond differently. I love this clinic for several reasons. First, the front desk staff is very friendly, accommodating and competent. My initial consultation with Dr. Chu was amazing, she took plenty of time answering all my questions and explaining the procedure in great detail. Total scam. Everything they say is to get you to pay them upfront, and once they have your money, they will just keep reminding you that there are no guarantees. Their cell sound treatments did NOTHING. I had one treatment with a girl trying to push me to purchase an MLM product. I was continually asked where to put the electrodes, as if it wasn't their job to know how to use the equipment. As nothing happened treatment after treatment, they keep reassuring you that there will be a result. When I lost weight before the last appointment for a wedding, the 'DR' decided that apparently I had enough success, (my own weight loss ) even though the problem I went in for in the first place was unchanged. This doctor was quick to remind me there was, ~ you guessed it,... no guarantee. I was told I would have a complementary service at the six week out appointment, but instead was only offered more services for more money. This, after nothing but collecting my money and offering reassurances until the last day. I have heard of scams like this but did not think I would fall prey to one. They are not registered with the Better Business Bureau, of course, but I will still file a report. People want to believe that these things really work, and maybe they do, ~somewhere else. Do not waste your time or money here. Just because they are in Scottsdale with a nice office, they think they can fool people, which evidently, they can. Read reviews and at least seek out services from places registered with the BBB. I saw this on ABC 15 News, and I will copy them on my Better Business Bureau complaint. read more

If you've been screwed over by Nuvell too, I encourage you to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and also let Suzanne Bissett know (suzanne.bissett@azfamily.com) since she promoted this company on her show Your Life AZ. I am a recent cancer survivor. I've been battling cancer for a year and when I looked in the mirror it seemed liked I had aged 10 years. I saw Nuvell Clinics promoted on Your Life AZ a couple of times and trusted Suzanne Bissett's recommendation to check them out. On 8/2 I purchased a pre-paid set of 3 skin firming treatments for $1,850. Warning: This place is not a med spa. Once you get past the lobby it's a bare bones/low quality environment, and Kayla is the worst aesthetician I've ever had. Her voice is loud and grating, she never stops talking, and her skill level leaves a lot to be desired. I had a SEVERE adverse reaction to the 1st treatment and swelled up like a balloon (not an exaggeration). It took me a month to heal. On 10/3 Kayla talked me into coming in for "the doctor to look at my skin and make a treatment recommendation". When I went in for the scheduled appointment there was no doctor and Kayla talked me into accepting a "less aggressive" treatment (she did not offer to compensate me for the difference in price). During this 2nd treatment she burned my face with the laser in three places, and it took another month for my skin to heal. I let Kayla know that since I once again had a bad experience with the treatment that I wanted a refund of the unused balance. She tried talking me into coming into the office again to "see the doctor" and offered to give me a facial instead of the skin firming treatment. Again she did not offer any adjustment for the difference in price. (1) I paid for skin firming treatments and have no interest in facials, and (2) who in their right mind would exchange a $617 skin firming treatment for a $100 facial? I asked Kayla to refund just 1/3 of the $1850 but she refused saying they have a policy of no refunds. Bottom line - the skin firming treatments don't work and once they get your money they seem to no longer care. read more

I had my first laser treatment done yesterday to combat scars, texture and oiliness on my face, and I was very impressed. The building itself is easy to find, clean and modern. The staff are kind and eager to recommend the appropriate treatments to fit my specific needs. I met with Kayla, and she was informative, professional and very helpful. She thoroughly explained the process, mentioned any anticipated pain, and talked through exactly what she was doing every step of the way. Nuvell Clinic is a BIG disappointment. They did 6 treatments on my neck to tighten skin. It did NOT work so they offered 6 more treatments at no cost. I went through it again and, of course, there was absolutely no change for the good ... in fact my neck looked worse than before I came in. I have mixed feelings as I really wanted to be happy and love my results, however, I don't. I spent a ton of money here and was very clear about my primary concerns and goals for going forward. I was assured the treatment would be a great option for me. I was hesitant but I trusted and took their advice. After a year, I have experienced zero benefit or results from the procedure and I feel like I just wasted all that money (I cannot tell you how much sleep I've lost over this - how I would love to have my money back and not worry about how much I wasted on this clinic's treatment). I only give it 2 stars as Cheryl was very nice and friendly but for the actual investment+results = zero stars. Super disappointed. Unfortunately every time I think about how I was treated here it makes me ill. This clinic promised me wonderful results and I borrowed from my retirement to do something for myself. They lied to me about the package I would be receiving when they took my $2400. Then they let the clinician go that was to treat me. Then the next clinitian left. They bounced me around. Then called me telling me I had utilized all my treatments which I had not and wanted more money. I had to call them back and they said they were wrong and they were sorry. At this point I was so upset I could not bring myself to go back. No one has ever called me to follow up with me on any of this and I feel that they may think that $2400 is not a lot of money to them but I saved for this and it WAS a big deal to me. The waiting room was clean and inviting. i was greeted immediately and offered water or coffee while I filled out forms. All of the staff was knowledgable and easy to talk to. I decided to do the FemiLift procedure in hopes that it will help with urinary incontinence. The procedure requires 3 visits, and this was my first, so I'll have to report back about how effective it is. I'm 59 years old, and still sexually active, so vaginal tightening will be an added bonus for me - again, news to come. The only thing that was "off" is that there isn't signage in the hallway identifying Nuvell Clinics. It is inside a practice for a Dr. Friedman. I'd definitely recommend this practice - pending my opinion and the effectiveness of the FemiLift procedure. read more

I went back in January and sat down with Cheryl to discuss my treatment results. I explained to her that after four treatments I still had no results and in fact I felt that the treatment did more damage. I was worse than the way I went in. I asked for a refund and she said she couldn't do anything in terms of monetary refund but offered me an O shot or any other service! I was so shocked that she actually thought I would want that. I explained to her that I didn't want any other treatment because I only came in for one reason and treatment. I asked that my request be considered by the owners. She informed the owner and to make a long story short, one of them emailed me telling me that I would hear back. I finally was contacted by the front desk staff that they couldn't do anything for me. They never called me. I understand that the owners are male and providing female services so that explained the insensitivity and lack of customer service. I would not recommend the femilift. I learned about Nuvell Clinic in Scottsdale from a Sonora Living segment I had seen a few months ago. The program was interviewing Cheryl Schaaf,NP and Medical Director of this clinic. We had a few phone calls back and forth, getting my questions answered, no matter how trivial or silly I felt for asking some of them. Everyone at the clinic made me feel that I was important and wanted to help me however they could, including Nicole and Andrea. From my 1st appointment, they are just as friendly as before. They made me feel like I expect to be treated at any Clinic I use. I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes, before Cheryl greeted me and took me back to the treatment room, because they don't overbook their appointments! Cheryl is always very prompt! I love that they send email reminders a day or two before your appointment, wanting you to confirm it. Cheryl is very knowledgeable,sincere and has a light touch. As I expressed my concerns and fears, she continued to answer them in a reassuring way, I never felt nervous. She explained each step, all before she did it. I didn't feel like she rushed to get me out of there. Since that first appointment, we all talk, laugh and enjoy our conversations. Everyone at the clinic is very helpful with everything! After my 1st appointment, it felt like I was part of the Nuvell family. I've made some personal connections with the staff,and they always have me laughing when I leave.
